Another restaurant that is smaller, less expensive than Summer Shack, and
very busy is Captain Mardens in Wellesley.
Great for lobster and all seafood. May need a reservation.

[LincolnTalk] children's clothes for food pantry clients

2024-09-24 Thread Ursula Nowak
Hi,

Two of the young mothers at the food pantry are looking for hand-me-down
clothes for their children for the fall and winter. Here are the details.

A boy, a year and half old but on the small side, wearing 18 months for
fall.

A three year old boy, who is very small. Pants need to be on the smaller
side, 24M/2T. Otherwise 3T will work.

A nine year old boy (weighs 70lb) and wears size 10-12 or 12-14.

Please let me know if you can help.
Thanks,
Ursula

adding Bob's Lobster to the list of places to maybe go! It is such a scenic

[LincolnTalk] Calling Lincoln runners

2024-09-24 Thread prplt1z7ctld
Calling Lincoln runners! Anyone up for an informal and relaxed Lincoln running
club on Sunday mornings? We'll start the runs at Twisted Tree at 8:30am, and
also end there so whoever has time afterwards can hang out and have coffee
together. I'm not particularly fast, and would like this to be a welcoming
environment for casual runners. Once we get a few folks together, we can figure
out routes and paces that work (maybe multiple groups, depending on who shows
up). Email me with your name, phone, and email, and once I have a handful of
people, I'll email everyone and we can plan an initial meetup.

And if you do not have a large lobster pot, they can easily be microwaved
in a gallon sized ziplock bag.

I learned that years ago from a TV program in which Roger Berkowitz of
Legal Seafood revealed that was his preferred method for cooking a few
lobsters at home. Also advocated by Jasper White and Julia Child.
