Re: [LincolnTalk] Evelyn-her music lives on.
Evelyn was my musical colleague for 15 years. We performed classical, jazz and cabaret music all over Boston and the suburbs and in Assisted Living auditoriums where she was was much older than her audience but no one would have guessed it. We put out several CD's and she loved improvising in in the recording studio I will never find a accompanist /collaborator like her . And she was my good friend . I saw her just two days before she died, playing the piano, looking forward to celebrating her 95th next May. We will have a PARTY, she exclaimed. I miss her every day. Re: [LincolnTalk] THANK YOU! Re: ISO: Old Tennis Balls ...
Kathy, Tennis balls are actually not good for dogs teeth; the ‘fuzz’ wears them down. We realized this after years of our German Shepherds getting great enjoyment out of them! I would suggest switching to lacrosse balls. [LincolnTalk] Firewood
Hello All, This is a good time to buy firewood! The past two years I’ve supplemented my firewood supply with wood from App Tree in Woburn. They are offering 2 cords of seasoned wood for $480 delivered. I’ve been happy with their mostly oak and maple. The price goes up in fall. Recent storms have created lots of new supply so he’s trying to move the older stock. Ed App is also an excellent crane operator who has removed large trees over hazards with ease and aplomb. His phone number is (617) 908-7576. Regards Stephen Dirrane Sent from my iPhone -- The LincolnTalk mailing list. To post, send mail to Lincoln@lincolntalk.org. [LincolnTalk] Searchable Vendors List
Recently, we have received a few inquiries about searching the archives for LincolnTalk member recommended vendors (house cleaners, plumbers, landscapers, etc.). Sadly, our list host no longer supports a searchable archive. However, this information is available via the Lincoln Squirrel. Alice Waugh created and curates a list of vendors mentioned on LincolnTalk. From her, "...the list is available by clicking on the blue box at the top right on any Squirrel page." Re: [LincolnTalk] Bike instructor
I just heard about this place in a parent group, Bicycle Riding School, in Somerville. Apparently they’re so good that it only takes one or two lessons to teach a five year old. Non-profit, lots of experience, sounds really cool. And they teach adults also. https://www.bicycleridingschool.org > On Jul 24, 2023, at 11:53 AM, Edica Lin wrote: > > Dear Neighbors, > > I am looking for a bike instructor for beginner adult rider….happy to pay for > the lessons.
