After install

After install
I've sucessfully installed LilyPond 2.9. I've saved the text file to my desktop. Now what do I do. Number two on the instructions say that I have drag the text file into some icon. After install
I've installed this program. Now i'm on the text file. I can't seem to do number 1 and 2. I try to save the text file. It won't let me it shows up on desk top but it doesn't have the name I want it to. Then problem 2 is number 2. I think I got it on desktop I don't know where to drag it. Hope you can help.
