Re: [lfs-dev] glibc-2.15 with i686
Matt, > Whoops, yes, it was in chapter 6, but not in chapter 5. Fixed in r9792. The fix got put in the middle of something else so that the line now reads: "The Glibc documentation recommends building Glibc outside of the source directory in a dedicated build directory: Fix a bug that prevents Glibc from building with GCC-4.7.0: patch -Np1 -i ../glibc-2.15-gcc_fix-1.patch mkdir -v ../glibc-build cd ../glibc-build" Regards, Ivan -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
[lfs-dev] 2 quick items
Just 2 quick items: 1) In chapter 3, can someone please add a link to the kbd home page? It's http://www.kbd-project.org/ 2) In stable LFS, the wget list link to man-pages points to http://man7.org/linux/download/man-pages/ but that no longer works, could someone please change it to http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/docs/man-pages/ like dev LFS? What about your e-mails about the changes to "Preparing Virtual File Systems", where you suggested that devpts be bind mounted and /dev/console and /dev/null do not need to be created? Should we follow the book or what you said in the e-mails? > > -- > Note: My last name is not Krejzi. For some reason I find the above really funny. It reminds of the "This is not a pipe" painting. Re: [lfs-dev] Post LFS Systemd configuration
I was finally able to complete the steps Armin outlined in his "Post LFS System configuration" e-mail from Dec. 21 with no issues using the Dec 21 version of the LFS systemd book. I was lazy though and just rebooted back into the host system and used the chroot environment to reinstall systemd. Thanks to everyone that worked on the LFS and LFS systemd book, it was a good way to finally learn more about systemd.
