This can be done in settings > Settings > tab (the second one) > Special characters box. I added it to the global list of special characters (tab, newline, ellipsis, triangle) that are before the language-dependent ones (typographic quotes and dash variants) So not everyone has to add this manually… ciao Christian -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: l10n+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: https://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/l10n/ Privacy Policy: https://www.documentfoundation.org/privacy

Mihkel Tõnnov schrieb: It appears to be meant so that you have to right-click specifically on the *right-hand side* of the status bar, where it by default shows Average & Sum - among the listed functions there is also "Selection count". I amended that "right-hand side" bit in my translation, but the original should be fixed, of course. Hi Mihkel, thank you for your reply. Yes, you are right. I looked for this feature to the left of the status bar, there where the number of rows and columns are displayed. So this tip-of-the-day string isn't really wrong but it is imprecise only. I often check these strings and translate them more precisely. Target audience for these strings is LO beginners who are not familiar with the LO GUI yet. Not specifically, I've just seen it being discussed on Telegram. Haven't looked into the details yet. What I wanted to say is that the issue is not present on all systems.
