Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Most important folders (Guarani)

2015-01-23 Thread Tom Davies
Hi :)
So is the problem is solved for now? I think if Andras' tip didn't
work then it would be a new issue and worthy of a new thread in a
month or so or whenever the translation should appear.
Regards from
Tom :)

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] LibreOffice for Android

2015-01-23 Thread Tom Davies
Hi :)
I have no idea what is going on with the Android version. I'm only
aware that it is in beta and so far doesn't include editing. So
hopefully that restricts the amount that needs to be translated! Also
i'm not sure if it might be possible for the Android version just to
take a subset of the translation that have already been done for the
Linux&Bsd&Mac and Windows versions.

It'd be interesting to know before the work is suddenly dumped on the
team as an urgent "must do"! However i am not sure that even the
people currently working on the Android version know what they need or
what sort of time-scale. It seems to have suddenly leapt from being a
"some day someone might take an interest in it" to "job done" almost
overnight. Top marks to the people working on it!! :))

Regards from
Tom :)

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Most important folders (Guarani)

2015-01-23 Thread Giovanni Caligaris
Bugzilla already claims they have a Guarani Locale.

*"We already have gug-PY locale data, see
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/gitweb?p=core.git;a=blob;f=i18npool/source/localedata/data/gug_PY.xml;hb=HEAD
*

*
If you want to update the data please submit a diff against the
current revision instead of an entire file. Thanks."*

I'm not quite sure now what am I still missing to make 'gn' pack available.

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Most important folders (Guarani)

2015-01-23 Thread Michael Bauer

That looks like Guaraní-Paraguay

If I remember rightly, Guaraní is used across several countries so the
question is, are you translating into a 'generic' Guaraní that anyone
can understand irrespective of the country or are you doing a specific
variety such as Paraguayan G, Argentinian G or Bolivian G?

If you're doing an over-regional localization into Guaraní then I think
we should get gn added rather than using the specific gug-PY.

In this case it would be good to use the specific "gug" language code
everywhere. I was looking fog "gn" in locale data, that's why I asked
you, if you have had it submitted.

I can add Guarani translations to the build (to master for the time
being) in the next days.

Andras

[libreoffice-l10n] Fwd: [tdf-announce] LibreOffice Viewer (Beta) now available for Android

2015-01-23 Thread Valter Mura

Hi All

is there any translation plan for the app below mentioned?

 Messaggio Inoltrato
Oggetto: [tdf-announce] LibreOffice Viewer (Beta) now available for
Android

Data: Wed, 21 Jan 2015 13:06:40 +0100
Mittente: Italo Vignoli
A: annou...@documentfoundation.org

Berlin, January 21, 2015 - The Document Foundation (TDF) is happy to see
the LibreOffice Viewer (Beta) for Android released in the Google Play
Store, allowing mobile users to access Open Document Format (ODF) files
from devices such as tablets and smartphones.

The application, created by Collabora, is available from the following
link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.collabora.libreoffice

The first release of LibreOffice Viewer handles text documents and basic
presentations. Support for spreadsheets have been included in an early
form, while support for more complex presentations is planned for a
future release. Users are invited to download and test the application,
although care is advised for production environments.

"Support for Android is the result of cooperation between organizations
as well as individual contributors," said Michael Meeks, VP of
Productivity at Collabora, "LibreOffice's open ecosystem has again
proved its ability to bring diverse groups together to produce great
software without restrictions”.

The mobile app fulfils the wishes of many users who access ODF files on
the go, and is also able to read proprietary document formats from other
suites including Microsoft Office.

“This release is the first of a new series of mobile applications” said
Björn Michaelsen, a Director of The Document Foundation. “Individuals,
companies and organizations are encouraged to participate in the open
development process by joining the LibreOffice community."

The LibreOffice Viewer (Beta) has been created by Collabora with the
support of SMOOSE. It is built on foundational work by the LibreOffice
community, SUSE, and the Mozilla Corporation, with additional
development by Jacobo Pérez of Igalia, and Andrzej Hunt and Ian Billet
as part of Google Summer of Code.
