[libreoffice-l10n] OpenCL strings
Hi, do you happen to know where to find setting related to OpenCL? They are quite unclear. For example, which is the difference between Enable OpenCL for some formula computation and Use OpenCL only for a subset of operations thanks Milos -- email & jabber: sramek.mi...@gmail.com -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: l10n+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/l10n/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
Re: [libreoffice-l10n] OpenCL strings
Hi Milos Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice Calc -> Formula -> Customized and click on the Details button. Indeed the strings are hard to understand. The whole dialog should be refactored, BTW. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86638 On 27/11/2014 14:32, Milos Sramek wrote: > Hi, > do you happen to know where to find setting related to OpenCL? > They are quite unclear. We could ask devs what is supposed to be in this dialog when it's finished, and what could be moved elsewhere. Since its introduction it has been an awful example of a "catch-all" dialog, with a collection of unrelated features (only tied together by the underlying technology). The options it contains should be grouped in logical, task-focused groups in other places. Anyway, this is something for UX-Advise rather than l10n. -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: l10n+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/l10n/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
[libreoffice-l10n] [ANN] LIbreOffice 4.3.5 RC1 available
Dear Community, The Document Foundation is pleased to announce the first release candidate of LibreOffice 4.3.5. The upcoming 4.3.5 will be the fifth in a sequence of frequent bugfix releases for our feature-packed 4.3 line. Please be aware that LibreOffice 4.3.5 RC1 has not been flagged as ready for production use yet, however feel free to give it a try instead of 4.3.4. A work-in-progress list of new features in LibreOffice 4.3 can be found at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.3 The release is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X from our QA builds download page at http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/ Developers and QA might also be interested in the symbol server for windows debug information (see the release notes linked below for details) Should you find bugs, please report them to the FreeDesktop Bugzilla: https://bugs.freedesktop.org A good way to assess the release candidate quality is to run some specific manual tests on it, our TCM wiki page has more details: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Testing/Regression_Tests#Full_Regression_Test For other ways to get involved with this exciting project - you can e.g. contribute code: http://www.libreoffice.org/community/developers/ translate LibreOffice to your language: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/LibreOffice_Localization_Guide or help with funding our operations: http://donate.libreoffice.org/ A list of known issues and fixed bugs with 4.3.5 RC1 is available from our wiki: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Releases/4.3.5/RC1 Let us close again with a BIG Thank You! to all of you having contributed to the LibreOffice project - this release would not have been possible without your help. Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Some English filetype names in Save/Save As dialogs
I can confirm this bug is present in LibreOfficeDev 4.4 beta 1 with Danish localization. In Danish, some of the strings mentioned are translated in Pootle (like "Unified Office Format text"), and some are not (like "Rich Text"). Those strings that *are* translated in Pootle, like "Unified Office Format text" (filter/source/config/fragments/filters.po string 28719989), are in fact in their English version in the file type box and not in its Danish translation. Other file types are in their translated versions as they should be. So, to the extent that it is possible for me to confirm using the Danish translation, I can fully confirm this bug is present in 4.4 beta 1. In other words, there is nothing in the Danish translation case that contradicts this bug report for LibreOfficeDev 4.4 beta 1. Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Should value of "name" attribute in XML element be translated?
Well, very good to know that the name attribute is completely unused. :-) Thank you for clarifying this, Andras! As I could see that the guide hadn't been changed yet, I updated it. Now it reads: "* name is a completely unused attribute. Localizing it will have no effect whatsoever." [libreoffice-l10n] Action [Time]: [1]. [2]
Should "Time" be translated in the following string? Action [Time]: [1]. [2] ( https://translations.documentfoundation.org/da/libo_ui/translate/instsetoo_native/inc_openoffice/windows/msi_languages.po#unit=2873 ) As often before, there are differing opinions on it in the different languages. Some have translated it, some have not. I could not find information about it in https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UI_and_Help_files_Content_Guide Jesper -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: l10n+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/l10n/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
[libreoffice-l10n] Re: Action [Time]: [1]. [2]
And the same question with this string: [ProductName] ( https://translations.documentfoundation.org/da/libo_ui/translate/instsetoo_native/inc_openoffice/windows/msi_languages.po#unit=28722426 ) Except that this string has not been translated in any of the six languages that I can read (but why would it then be up for translation on Pootle if it should not be translated?). [libreoffice-l10n] I have updated the "Variables and symbols in the UI files" part of the "UI and Help files Content Guide"
Hi everybody, I have updated the small "Variables and symbols in the UI files" section of the "UI and Help files Content Guide" a little according to my current understanding. I hope to expand it further as I learn more. Anybody with more experience and knowledge than me about this subject are welcome to read the section and confirm that what is written there is in fact true. And if you have additions or corrections, please tell me, then I will add or correct them. The link is https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UI_and_Help_files_Content_Guide#Variables_and_symbols_in_the_UI_files, and it is only the small section "Variables and symbols in the UI files" that I have edited, not the rest of the document.
