[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1290396] Re: Touchpad not detected on Dell Chromebook 11

2015-03-06 Thread Scot

Title:
Touchpad not detected on Dell Chromebook 11

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
The up-to-date Xubuntu 13.10 install on my Dell Chromebook 11 does not
detect the laptop's touchpad. The kernel is 3.11.0-18-generic. A USB
mouse works under Xubuntu when connected, and the touchpad works under
  ChromeOS.

I also tried the trackpad under Ubuntu 14.04 beta 2 and it did not
work. (Note the following debugging information is for the
aforementioned 13.10 install.) If anyone would like me to update the
kernel and test again I'd be happy to do so.

Apologies if this is essentially a duplicate of any of the non-Dell
  Chromebook touchpad bug reports.

  $ cat /proc/version_signature
  Ubuntu 3.11.0-18.32-generic 3.11.10.4

Output from 'lspci', 'dmesg', and /proc/bus/input/devices and
  /var/log/Xorg.0.log is attached.

  Thanks.

Touchpad of Toshiba CB30 not detected or working at all

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Hi

I purchased a chromebook recently and ended up with a Toshiba CB30.
The Chromebook wasnt cool enough until hacked it and loaded Ubuntu
  onto the device

Much to my surprise the trackpad doesnt work at all.

The internet made some suggestions like running a script which should fix it

https://googledrive.com/host/0B0YvUuHHn3MndlNDbXhPRlB2eFE/cros-haswell-modules.sh

After rebooting the device. No joy!
  Following the suggestions found here:
  https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection

  dmesg > ~/dmesg
  cat /proc/bus/input/devices > ~/devices

Which exported the output into a file see attached. I notice no
  touchpad is being detected

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1408105] Re: Haswell-based Chromebook touchpads and touchscreen are not enabled

2015-01-06 Thread Scot
Thanks!

These deb's are for armhf, but the machines are amd64. I cannot test all
hardware, as I only have one of the machines, but they are nearly
identical except for hardware id's. Will this be acceptable?

Would it be possible to publish these changes to a git tree for me to
pull and build?
