More like “every time.” I am noting each failed port and wrapping them in a for loop to fix this. Seems like I shouldn’t have to do that for just one special family of ports but whatever. I have been through several cycles of this now. -- This space intentionally left blank.

Subsequent deinstall does work but I don’t see much value in a pkg/ports system that requires a manual step for a subset of ports. I might agree if any other ports besides qt-* were failing. They’re not.
Make errors
Pkg shit the bed a couple of days ago and I am trying to rebuild the ports I had installed. This kind of thing makes it challenging: file /usr/ports/devel/cmake/work/cmake-3.14.2/config.log /usr/ports/devel/cmake/work/cmake-3.14.2/config.log: cannot open `/usr/ports/devel/cmake/work/cmake-3.14.2/config.log' (No such file or directory) Installing from a package doesn’t work. Pkg itself keeps reinstalling itself over a library change. Best I can make, pkg seems to have reached the same level of helpfulness as the old pkgdb system or even rpm. ===> Script "configure" failed unexpectedly. Please report the problem to k...@freebsd.org [maintainer] and attach the "/usr/ports/devel/cmake/work/cmake-3.14.2/config.log" including the output of the failure of your make command.
