[Bug 245948] x11/plasma5-plasma-desktop: turn SYNAPTICS off by default
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=245948 --- Comment #11 from Andriy Gapon --- Just in case, I must add that not having synaptics and having synaptics with evdev support are not equivalent if one wants to customize any touchpad behavior. As an example, here is what I have in /usr/local/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/90-touchpad.conf: Section "InputClass" Identifier "Motile touchpad" MatchDriver "libinput" MatchIsTouchpad "on" MatchProduct"UNIW0001" Option "Tapping" "on" Option "TappingDrag" "on" Option "TappingDragLock" "on" Option "ClickMethod" "clickfinger" Option "ScrollMethod" "twofinger" Option "NaturalScrolling" "off" Option "DisableWhileTyping" "on" EndSection Section "InputClass" Identifier "Motile touchpad, synaptics" MatchDriver "synaptics" MatchIsTouchpad "on" MatchProduct"UNIW0001" Option "TapButton1" "1" Option "TapButton2" "3" Option "TapButton2" "2" Option "CornerCoasting" "on" Option "HorizTwoFingerScroll" "on" Option "LockedDrags" "on" Option "LockedDragTimeout" "300" Option "PalmDetect" "on" EndSection The first section has effect if there is no synaptics driver installed / loaded. The second section had effect in the other case. They configure roughly the same behavior for a specific touchpad but using different options. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Bug 245946] [PATCH] www/qt5-webengine: devel/double-conversion missing in LIB_DEPENDS
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=245946 --- Comment #3 from Andy Mender --- > - Do you get the build errors with a non-poudriere build environment? Yes, indeed. I build and install new ports via "make install clean" in the port dir and run regular updates via portmaster to have full control over the build process. > - If so, have you already tried to remove the previous version of > qt5-webengine with "pkg delete -f" before building the new version? This I have not tried, but the first time I built it, it was a completely fresh install of both qt5-webegine and otter-browser. > In fact, www/qt5-webengine uses some header files that can also be found in > devel/double-conversion. > But it should rather use its own header files of the bundled copy of ICU, > that are supplied via the tarball and can be found at the following > locations: > - "src/3rdparty/chromium/third_party/icu/source/i18n/" > - > "src/3rdparty/chromium/base/third_party/double_conversion/double-conversion" Yes, this is what I suspected as well, since the devel/double-conversion port was extracted from the Chromium source code. > Also I don't see "libdouble-conversion.so" listed as a (missing) dependency > when examining the shared libraries of www/qt5-webengine (= 5.14.2): > for i in `pkg info -l qt5-webengine | grep -e '\.so$'`; do readelf -d $i | > grep conversion; done This I can't explain. I should've posted this earlier, but here is the end of the build log: > c++ -B/usr/local/bin -Wl,--as-needed -fstack-protector-strong -pthread > -Wl,-rpath,/usr/local/lib/qt5 -Wl,-rpath-link,/usr/local/lib/qt5 -o > ../../libexec/QtWebEngineProcess .obj/main.o > -L/tmp/usr/ports/www/qt5-webengine/work/.build/lib -L/usr/local/lib > /usr/local/lib/qt5/libQt5Gui.so /usr/local/lib/qt5/libQt5Core.so -lGL > /usr/local/lib/qt5/libQt5WebEngineCore.so /usr/local/lib/qt5/libQt5Quick.so > /usr/local/lib/qt5/libQt5QmlModels.so /usr/local/lib/qt5/libQt5WebChannel.so > /usr/local/lib/qt5/libQt5Qml.so /usr/local/lib/qt5/libQt5Network.so > /usr/local/lib/qt5/libQt5Gui.so /usr/local/lib/qt5/libQt5Positioning.so > /usr/local/lib/qt5/libQt5Core.so > /usr/local/bin/ld: warning: libdouble-conversion.so.3, needed by > /usr/local/lib/qt5/libQt5Core.so, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link) > /usr/local/bin/ld: .obj/main.o: in function `main': > main.cpp:(.text+0xb4): undefined reference to > `QtWebEngineCore::processMain(int, char const**)' > /usr/local/bin/ld: /usr/local/lib/qt5/libQt5Core.so: undefined reference to > `double_conversion::DoubleToStringConverter::DoubleToAscii(double, > double_conversion::DoubleToStringConverter::DtoaMode, int, char*, int, bool*, > int*, int*)' > /usr/local/bin/ld: /usr/local/lib/qt5/libQt5Core.so: undefined reference to > `double_conversion::StringToDoubleConverter::StringToDouble(char const*, int, > int*) const' > c++: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation) > *** [../../libexec/QtWebEngineProcess] Error code 1 The same error occurs even with qt5-webengine 5.14.2. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. weird problem with 'win' key
I have a pretty weird problem with the 'Windows' key in KDE / plasma5. This is a fresh installation with pretty much a default configuration. I do not think that I have seen such a problem before. Also, using other window managers / desktop environments I do not see the same problem. So, the problem is that almost none of keyboard shortcuts that use the Win key, whether standard or custom, actually work. The only shortcut that works is pressing the Win key alone to get the plasma launcher menu. Other shortcuts like, for example, Win+L simply do not work. If I enter that shortcut while konsole is active, then 'sl' ('s' and 'l') gets entered. The same applies to any Win+letter combination, there is 's' and then the letter. When I create a custom shortcut with 'Win' key, it gets recognized as Meta (e.g., Win+P is recognized by KDE as Meta+P). xev shows the same thing regardless of WM / DE, so the problem should not be at the Xorg level. E.g., Win+L: KeyPress event, serial 40, synthetic NO, window 0x3e1, root 0x6a8, subw 0x0, time 5628095, (1177,395), root:(1177,432), state 0x0, keycode 133 (keysym 0xffeb, Super_L), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes: XFilterEvent returns: False KeyPress event, serial 40, synthetic NO, window 0x3e1, root 0x6a8, subw 0x0, time 5628414, (1177,395), root:(1177,432), state 0x40, keycode 46 (keysym 0x6c, l), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (6c) "l" XmbLookupString gives 1 bytes: (6c) "l" XFilterEvent returns: False KeyRelease event, serial 40, synthetic NO, window 0x3e1, root 0x6a8, subw 0x0, time 5628514, (1177,395), root:(1177,432), state 0x40, keycode 46 (keysym 0x6c, l), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (6c) "l" XFilterEvent returns: False KeyRelease event, serial 40, synthetic NO, window 0x3e1, root 0x6a8, subw 0x0, time 5628660, (1177,395), root:(1177,432), state 0x40, keycode 133 (keysym 0xffeb, Super_L), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: XFilterEvent returns: False I do not see anything suspicious here. Both keys are correct, the state gets modified while Win is pressed, etc. If anyone has seen this or has any suggestions and ideas, please let me know. Thank you! -- Andriy Gapon
