When we find somebody who is willing to commit this to the portstree :)
I hoped to avoid merging from area51, but with this enormous 9.1-release
delay it seems very unpractical.

Hi Chuck.

I've used to switch using Ctrl+Alt+{F9,F10,...}. Havn't used "Switch user".
But I can confirm that in "Switch user" dialog logins are grayed.

Vans.

Thanks for the verification. Yea I can do it via the C-A-Fx as well, but
explaining that to a 5 year old isn't fun. :)

[kde-freebsd] Exp Runs / Builds

2012-10-30 Thread Kris Moore

KDE Team,

I had heard you guys were running into delays getting EXP runs and such
done. Is this something we can assist with, to help get later KDE
releases into the ports tree quicker? Please let me know if so, and we
can work something out to get you access to some building systems :)

Hi Kris,

KDE SC 4.9.2 and Qt 4.9.3 have been tested on ix tinderbox and I think we
don't need exprun at all. However the portstree is frozen for 9.1-release and
we aren't allowed to commit 'big' updates during freeze :(

Ok, great! I just want to make sure we help out with any cycles you need
for testing :)

Is the latest in area51 safe to use to build 4.9.2 then?

Some modules still need build tests, they're being run in this very moment.
Also, next week 4.9.3 should be released, and it should be an easy and
quick update.
