That's ok for me. I'll be here to help if more problems do turn up.

Does this mean PollInterval=5000 under [DirWatch] in
~/.kde4/share/config/kdedrc to prevent kinit from consuming too much CPU
is superfluous now or is that something entirely different?

In the first case, should that option be removed from all profiles or is
it just ignored now?

(I currently cannot really test for the effect, because the system I am
using right now is too fast and my Atom based system has rather outdated
ports.)

Thanks,
Jan Henrik

PollInterval is ignored now unless you set PreferredMethod=Stat. The
default PreferredMethod is now QFSWatch.

[kde-freebsd] KDE 4.5.2 and QT from svn cant change keyboard layout

2010-10-06 Thread M. Vale
Hi, I've installed KDE 4.5.2 from svn and also QT, so don't know if it is a
KDE or a QT problem.

I go to systemsettings -> input devices -> Layouts and choose a Portuguese
Keyboard it doesn't change, on the taskbar the icon is always USA and The
keyboard stays always on American, cant change to any other like the desired
I want (Portuguese).

This occurs on FreeBSD 8.1 from SVN 6616

Does anyone have this problem or can reproduce the same problem i'm
reporting ?

Best Regards
