As I said, I removed all /usr/local/* and /var/db/pkg/* and compiled
ports/x11/kde3 again ... the problem remains: aRts crashes with SIGSEGV;
now I'm really clueless what can cause that :-(

[kde-freebsd] KDM

I can't login through KDM. I login and then KDM screen appears again. In 
FAQ it says to edit rc.conf and add a line hostname="mymachine", mine 
already says hostname="metal.vc.shawcable.net", isn't that good enough 
to for it all to work? What am I missing to be able to do graphical 
login, or better yet, have automatic user login?

I am using 8.0 RC1 and 4.3.1
