Re: Incubation Request: Snap KCM / Review Request

2024-11-13 Thread scarlett . gately . moore

Hi all,

I ask that snap-kcm please be reviewed as we are trying to include it in
future plasma releases much like flatpak kcm is. I appreciate your time,

Thanks,

Scarlett

Hi team,

I would like to propose an incubation request for the Snap KCM. It was
my GSoC project and now, it'd be great to have it under the community.
The KCM makes it very easy to manage and maintain permissions of snap
apps that are installed on the system.

This is the repo of the project

https://invent.kde.org/soumyadghosh/snap-kcm

And this is the issue labeling about the incubation request

https://invent.kde.org/soumyadghosh/snap-kcm/-/issues/2

The repo is already on KDE invent and checks most of the requirements.

I have showed this to Till Kamppeter during UbuCon Asia, and during a
team meeting at the Snapcrafters. Also, I have a snap package in the
pipeline, so that I can showcase this in the Ubuntu Summit 2024. Also,
Scarlett mam will work a PPA. We have this thread ongoing in the
Snapcraft Forum on the snap package

Thank You for your consideration,
