[krita] [Bug 430688] New: Krita Window won't move or minimize

Bug ID: 430688
Summary: Krita Window won't move or minimize
   Product: krita
   Version: 4.4.0
  Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Usability
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: boundlessfirmam...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Krita launched on my main monitor and I needed to move it to my drawing tablet.
After several attempts, clicking and dragging on the top bar did not drag the
window to the other monitor. I noticed that the top bar had no "minimize",
"window", nor "close window" buttons in the top right corner. Since I was
changing some of the Krita configurations earlier, I decided to try wiping them
to get rid of the issue. I did so and restarted Krita. The issue occurred
again. As a last effort, I uninstalled Krita and installed it again (via
Steam). The issue is still occurring after doing so.

[kmail2] [Bug 483686] New: Since Plasma 6, cannot reply to messages in any mailbox for a large account

2024-03-15 Thread luna sophia
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=483686

Bug ID: 483686
Summary: Since Plasma 6, cannot reply to messages in any
mailbox for a large account
Classification: Applications
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 6.0.0
  Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: l...@unixpoet.dev
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

I have a mailbox with ~90k messages that, while rather slow, still worked under
Plasma 5. Since upgrading to Plasma 6, when I try to reply to a message for
that account (in *any* mailbox, not just the large one), kmail uses 100% CPU
and seems to consume all memory on the system--when I last observed this, I let
it go to 25 GB RES before closing it. I did not have this problem with Plasma
5.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have or create a large mailbox, maybe 50k messages will suffice
2. Try to reply to a message in the account, in any mailbox, using either menu
button or keybinding
3. Observe the application become unresponsive, using 100% CPU and eventually
100% memory

OBSERVED RESULT
Kmail uses all CPU and memory

EXPECTED RESULT
The compose window opens for the message reply

[kmail2] [Bug 473458] New: Add option to disable markdown-esque formatting of plaintext messages

2023-08-16 Thread luna sophia
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=473458

Bug ID: 473458
Summary: Add option to disable markdown-esque formatting of
plaintext messages
Classification: Applications
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Archlinux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: l...@unixpoet.dev
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 161008
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=161008&action=edit
Screenshot depicting formatting making text harder to read

SUMMARY

For plaintext emails, KMail applies Markdown-esque formatting to text
surrounded by at least **, --, and __ characters. The -- characters in
particular are problematic for technical discussion, as they create a
strikethrough effect. This makes it hard to read text like this: sockstat -u |
grep /tmp/ssh-

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open email using formatting characters listed above
2. Notice how it changes the appearance of the message in a way that makes it
harder to read
3. Observe there's no preference to disable this

OBSERVED RESULT
Commandline text (and other text using these characters for purposes other than
formatting) is harder to read, but there's no preference to disable this

EXPECTED RESULT
A preference is added which supports toggling whether to enable this
formatting. Alternately, removing the formatting feature altogether would be
acceptable as well; part of the point of plain text email is that it's not
handled specially and is presented as-is.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.7
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.108.0
Qt Version: 5.15.10

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The email screenshot in the attachments is from the public
arch-gene...@lists.archlinux.org mailing list.

The Version field on the bug submission form doesn't let me select the version
I'm using; it only goes up to 5.23.90.

[kmail2] [Bug 471343] New: Would like to archive message when viewing it in its own window

2023-06-22 Thread luna sophia
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471343

Bug ID: 471343
Summary: Would like to archive message when viewing it in its
own window
Classification: Applications
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.23.2
  Platform: Archlinux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: commands and actions
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: l...@unixpoet.dev
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When viewing a message in its own window (e.g. from the new mail notification),
it would be nice to be able to archive the message from this window. There is
no option to do this either in any of the menus or in the default toolbar, nor
is there an option to add it.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a message in its own window (e.g. by double-clicking it or selecting it
and pressing enter)
2. Navigate through the menus searching for the archive action
3. Browse the customize toolbar menu searching for an archive button
4. There is no archive action in this UI

OBSERVED RESULT
There is no way to archive a message from the individual message view window

EXPECTED RESULT
It would be convenient to be able to archive a message when viewing it on its
own. This is particularly helpful when viewing a message from the new mail
notification window. Many messages I receive do not require action: I can read
them and then immediately archive them. Being able to do this from the message
view window means I do not need to open KMail itself (which constitutes a
larger mental context switch) to archive it.

Sorry I wasn't clear! What I mean by "archive email" is moving it to the
Archive folder I have configured for the given account. I have bound the kmail
> Archive action to a key and use this to move messages. It would be nice to
be able to have this functionality (either via menu, keybinding, or toolbar)
when viewing a message in its own window.

[krita] [Bug 356382] New: crash when I attempted to move polygonal selection

2015-12-08 Thread Sophia Walsh Long via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356382

Bug ID: 356382
Summary: crash when I attempted to move polygonal selection
   Product: krita
   Version: 2.9.9
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: transform
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: sophiawalshl...@gmail.com

I was working on a file. When I attempted to move a polygonal selection I had
just made, Krita crashed. When I reopened the file after said crash, there was
an autosaved version, so no work was lost.

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make polygonal selection
2. Use move tool upon said selection

Actual Results:
Opened the right-click colour mixer menu about 3 times, and crashed Krita.

Expected Results:
...it should have moved the selection as normal. this should be obvious by now.

I don't know how to extract crash reports. It might have just closed the
program? It's really just annoying because Krita wouldn't open again for like
another minute.
