[kde] [Bug 481108] New: Desktop randomly crashes. Log says akonadiserver process died
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481108 Bug ID: 481108 Summary: Desktop randomly crashes. Log says akonadiserver process died Classification: I don't know Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: tren...@yandex.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY What it says in Logs when it crashes: akonadiserver org.kde.pim.akonadiserver: Control process died, exiting! systemd-coredum Process 2777 (kwin_wayland) of user 1000 dumped core. Process 2777 (kwin_wayland) dumped core https://support.oracle.com documentation: man:core(5) Process 2777 (kwin_wayland) crashed and dumped core. *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE It just randomly happens. Maybe I have too many browser windows opened? OBSERVED RESULT The screen goes black with a little cursor flashing all of a sudden and then the desktop "resets" and goes back to normal. EXPECTED RESULT It's happening every single day now. I am tired of it. It shouldn't crash! SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Oracle Linux 9.3 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.6 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.108.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I am using Oracle Linux. I obviously have to contact them when I saw the web link. I am sorry if I have not done the backtrace properly. I just thought the Logs were enough. I am hard pressed for time! Oracle also had their own thing about crash reporting that contradicts KDE. I hope I have provided enough information! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
