SUMMARY
Synchronisation with last.fm never completes and when amarok is restarted none
of the stats have been retrieved from last.fm
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Invoke sychronisation select local collection and last.fm and click next
2. The process never completes
I built a local copy of liblastfm with some debugging placing

With ubuntu 20.04 I'm getting an empty form in 'Configure Phonon' from the amarok settings dialog. SUMMARY
When using the vlc backend I'm seeing that some tracks I play don't get the
last played updated
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run amarok with a vlc backend
2. Track with significant length doesn't get marked has having been played
after track completes - I have lastfm plugin enabled and the track doesn't get
scrobbled either
3. I don't see this problem happening with the gstreamer backend
4. I suspect this is probably a backend issue but I'm putting it here in the
first instance!
Selected output with amarok -d, track lenght is 74 seconds but there appears to
be a multiplier by zero - not sure of the significance of this? This happens
with other tracks beside this one. I also played this track with a 'stop
playing after this track' enabled and then the played time *was* updated.

SUMMARY
amarok crashing at end of track (dynamic playlists?) - I've seen this a lot
in the last 24 hours now that dynamic playlist does add new tracks, so I assume
that is responsible
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. enable dynamic playlists
2. play and wait!
3. eventually amarok will crash at the ending of a track (when adding a new
track to the playlist?)

I think it's trimming the playlist to 9 items. I've looked through the rc files and can't see any limitation on the playlist length and checked the config dialogs - am I missing some new config somewhere? I set the length to (say) 20 in the settings for the dynamic playlists but amarok - after a track finishes trims the playlist to the last 10 items. Dynamic playlists then spots the playlist length is too short and adds extra items - track finishes and amarok again trims the playlist length to 10 items. The item you're expecting to hear next plays but isn't visible and after that it proceeds to play the item at the top of the playlist (after that trimming has happened) However this playlist trimming happens even if you don't have dynamic playlists enabled, if you add an album with 20 tracks to the playlist after the first track finishes you find the playlist again only has 10 items. The effect if most noticeable and weird with dynamic playlists. This problem also *now* occurs (after further investigation) with an amarok built some time ago from git so I think this isn't a 2.9 problem I wondered whether it was a theme or some global setting preventing more than 10 items in that list. The only circumstance when there is something in recently added is when I insert a cd into the drive when (just) the cd is shown. In fact if I change the filter to lastplay:<1M (tracks played in the last minute) it still gives me all the tracks! If you change the filter to playcount:=0 then it shows all the CD tracks (which is what I expected) I'd expect filtering on time to give results consistent with the playcount.
