[kwin] [Bug 418039] DigiKam - importing from camera onto removable media
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418039 --- Comment #5 from Mihaela --- I have in the meantime moved from Plasma to GNOME, and I haven't noticed any crashes. Kwin did crash a lot for me related to some Plasma animations (reported), unrelated to digiKam, so maybe this bug is related to Kwin. But there is one other difference that may be related: in Plasma KDE the remote media path inside digiKam was /media/username/longdevicename/Photos/ but the same location now on GNOME is /mnt/longdevicename/Photos/. When setting up the collection in GNOME I chose the removable media option, but digiKam still added it under Local, I guess it matters if the device is automounted? I haven't removed KDE yet so I can login back if you'd like me to run backtrace again. I installed kwin-dev package. Is it safe for me to do that? I don't want that to affect my collection in a bad way. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwin] [Bug 418039] New: DigiKam - importing from camera onto removable media
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418039 Bug ID: 418039 Summary: DigiKam - importing from camera onto removable media Product: kwin Version: 5.16.5 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Keywords: drkonqi Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: mihaela.jurko...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Application: kwin_x11 (5.16.5) Qt Version: 5.12.4 Frameworks Version: 5.62.0 Operating System: Linux 5.3.0-40-generic x86_64 Distribution: Ubuntu 19.10 -- Information about the crash: - What I was doing when the application crashed: I was trying to import photos from a camera in DigiKam. I have a collection setup on a removable drive. Importing there worked on my previous OS. Now I'm new on KUbuntu 19 and I can't get it to work on the removable media. I had to import onto the local disk instead in the end. - Custom settings of the application: I didn't have the removable media set to automount when I first started DigiKam, but I have enabled that since I started and failed the import of the photos. The disk was mounted before I tried the download, and I could see the path to the disk in the Collection settings (/media/username/longdevicename/Photos) The crash happened when I closed DigiKam, it was stable up to that point. -- Backtrace: Application: KWin (kwin_x11), signal: Aborted Using host libthread_db library "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libthread_db.so.1". https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385114 miha...@prkos.hr changed: What|Removed |Added CC||miha...@prkos.hr --- Comment #1 from miha...@prkos.hr --- I would also like to see a better keyboard shortcuts support, especially in the Player and Playlist pane. For example, when adding a new stream or from local files tracks are automatically added at the end of the list. If the playlist has a lot of tracks and I want the new ones to be arranged at the top I need to drag them by mouse one page at a time, it's very tedious and time-consuming. When it comes to adding new tracks it might help to add them after the currently active one, or have a preference that switches it. But it doesn't help with editing the playlist. Maybe something like the "Editor Queue" would help, the "Playlist editor". It would also be a lot more easier to control the playing with dedicated shortcuts for each of the functions (Next Track, Stop, etc). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
