I now have 6.1.4 too. (Used to be on 6.1.2)
So far, for the last 2 weeks or so, I did not see the issue again. I'll wait a
bit and see if it comes up again, and will try and remove the widget at that
point.
Thanks

SUMMARY
This only happens from time to time, and I'm not sure what triggers it. When
opening the panel to show hidden icons in the systray, sometimes the get messed
up. They move when hovering over them, and they overlap, making the menu
practically usable until next start, or Shell reload.

This only started in Plasma 6, did not happen in Plasma 5.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Just open the panel of hidden apps in the systray
2.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
When hovering over the icons, the move, until all of them are overlapped in a
single spot

EXPECTED RESULT
Icons should not move, I should just be able to click them, like icons.

I do have an Nvidia GPU, unfortunately, I'm not too sure if it was enabled or
not when I encountered this issue.

But just in case, Driver Version: 550.90.07
I'm on wayland

As mentioned, I'm not able to consistently reproduce this issue, it happens
randomly, but I think it mainly happens when I have an external monitor.
Also, just as randomly, sometimes the apps becomes all empty. Can't even click
the button to shutdown my laptop, and I have to press the power key in my
keyboard to be able to shutdown or restart.

I sometimes just run `plasmashell --replace &` and detach from the shell to fix
it

No, I have animations enabled, it's all pretty much defaults, at least the
defaults that my distribution ships with.
If you'd like to know the value of a specific config, let me know exactly which
one it is, and I'll happily send a screenshot your way.

Thx !

Hi !
I have moved those dirs aside, but since the bug happens erratically, it's hard
to come to any conclusion after the reboot. I'll have to use the system for a
few days and see if this happens again. Because I have no idea of how to
consistently repro the issue. I use the same monitors with the same resolution,
and most of the times it works fine, but the bug occurs randomly from time to
time, maybe once a week, with no noticeable reason.
So I'll let you know in a few days if setting aside the cache directory changes
anything.
Cheers.

Hi there
After moving those directories and running the system for a few days, the
problem happened again.

Did not change any settings the whole time.

cheers
