[digikam] [Bug 447430] Cannot open FITS images - ImageMagick plug in mime types missing

2021-12-23 Thread TM
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=447430

Hi Gilles
FITS was supported in 7.3
It is also listed as supported on the DigiKam website (using some Hubble Space
Telescope images as examples)
The attachment shows that there is something wrong with the Image magik plug in
shipped with DigiKam 7.4
The mime type fields are blank, they are not in DigiKam 7.3
Something is wrong with 7.4 regarding FITS support, I have gone back to 7.3
Regards
TM

[korganizer] [Bug 431610] New: Suspended reminders gone after restart

2021-01-14 Thread tm
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431610

Bug ID: 431610
Summary: Suspended reminders gone after restart
   Product: korganizer
   Version: 5.16.1
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: reminder daemon (korgac)
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: tmbhvmh...@posteo.de
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Suspended reminders are lost after reboot. Reminders are shown only for the
current day and beyond.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create event with reminder
2. Suspend reminder and reboot
3. Start korganizer or kontact

OBSERVED RESULT

Suspended reminders are gone. However, manually closing korgac, deleting the
file korgacrc in $HOME/.config and restarting korganizer provides a popup
showing also passed and suspended reminders as well as some dismissed
reminders.

EXPECTED RESULT

Suspended reminders should remain and should show up.

As a follow-up, I think all relevant reminders are there (in
$HOME/.config/korgacrc). Anyway the time for the suspended entries is not
updated, meaning it remains at a time before restarting the computer. This may
be one source of the bug.

Hi
Just found the setting
I did not have Metadata Edit selected in the "plug-in settings", once this was
done it appeared on the tool bar. So although a filter is shown as an available
filter to "configure the toolbar" it has to be enabled first elsewhere , done
that and all is well now.
Thanks

2021-01-24 Thread tm
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431610

No response in addition to the confirmation? I consider this to be an essential
feature of a tool such as kontact or korganizer. It is right at the core of a
calendar to remind about events.

As reminders about emails set in kmail are also entered into a calendar and
show up after reboot there must be a way to solve the problem.

SUMMARY
Using Configure Toolbars:-
I can select and move the "Edit Metadata" filter from the Available filter
actions to the Current filter actions. It appears to apply as the toolbar
sometimes blinks but the option does not appear as a selectable icon, but it is
in the Current list.
I have tried adding other filters and the same issue arises but only with some
of them as some do appear correctly. Edit Geolocation & Create Calendar do not
appear for example
I can edit other KDE toolbars (Krusader)

Hi Maik
Thanks for the very prompt reply
However renaming the folder "/home//.local/share/kxmlgui5/digikam/". resets
the toolbars back to default, I can add some shortcuts back but not Edit
Metadata, Edit Geolocation & Create Calendar.
Thanks
Tony

Hi
Installed 7.2.0 - the same problem
I looked at the digikamui5.rc file and "" appears
in the listing but not on the tool bar.
I can also add and remove Edit Geolocation & Create Calendaraction filters and
they appear in the digikamui5.rc file but they also do not appear on the tool
bar.

Hi
Done a full system search:-
/home/tm/.local/share/kxmlgui5/digikam/digikamui5.rc is the only version found
of digikamui5.rc
There is a tmp when Digikam runs
:-file:///tmp/.mount_digikak6w56M/usr/share/kxmlgui5/digikam/digikamui5.rc
I do not have another version installed via Discover or Muon, DigiKam has only

Thanks
