[kdenlive] [Bug 455140] New: Proxy clips are re-generated when using LRV files
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=455140 Bug ID: 455140 Summary: Proxy clips are re-generated when using LRV files Product: kdenlive Version: 22.04.1 Platform: Appimage OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: fernandez...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Hi all, I configured my kdenlive to use LRV files as proxy clips. I add the LRV files to the project bin and then I add a clip to the timeline. Kdenlive recognize the LRV as proxy clips on the project bin and the time line. All good till here. If I click over a clip on the project bin and I uncheck the proxy option, kdenlive uses the clip full version but, If I mark the proxy option again, kdenlive start to encode a new proxy clip instead of use the LRV. Why is this hepening? seems like a bug for me. I think the pseudocode for this should be something like: 1.- Proxy clip option marked 2.- Check if there are a LRV file in the path specified on the settings 3.- If the LRV file exists, use it, otherwise, create a new proxy clip. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Configure kdenlive to use LRV as proxy clips 2. Load and LRV on the project bin 3. Right click on the clip on project bin 4. Unmark the proxy clip option. 5. Right click over the clip again 6. Mark the proxy clip option OBSERVED RESULT Kdenlive star to enconde a new proxy clip EXPECTED RESULT kdenlive should user the LRV file as configured SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Distro: Debian bullseye Kdenlive: 22.04.1 Package: appimage -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 455140] Proxy clips are re-generated when using LRV files
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=455140 --- Comment #3 from Ricardo --- Hi, the behavior seems to be the same but with some other problems. This what I've done: Kdenlive version: Version 22.07.70 (rev. 8d9869d25) Create new project with these settings on proxy tab: Enable proxy clips -> checked Use external proxy clips -> GoPro LRV Save it (empty) Add an LRV clip to the project bin. Kdenlive do some "magic" and shows the MP4 clip on the project bin with the "P" indicating it is a proxy clip. On "Clip Properties" tab, the "Proxy clip" is marked and the path points to the LRV. (This is good) Add the clip on the project bin to the time line. The time line shows the "P" on the thumbnail. (This is good) On "Project Bin" tab, right click on the clip and uncheck the "Proxy Clip" option on the contextual menu. Kdenlive do "something". The "P" is gone on the time line, kde is using the full clip as I see it on the project monitor. (This is good) The "P" still shown on the project bin clip and on the "Clip Properties" tab, the "Proxy clip" option is *checked* and is pointing to the original clip. (This is bad) Right click on the "Project bin" clip, mark the "Proxy Clip" on the contextual menu. I go to the "Clip Properties" tab and the "Proxy clip" option stills marked is marked but the path is pointing to the original clip. (This is bad) The time line doesn't shows the "P" as it should be. (This is bad) On the Project Monitor I'm still viewing the original clip. (This is bad) And that is, the problem hamdling external proxy clips still there. Thank you for your effort, -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 419897] Error when accessing filesystem. sshfs finished with exit code 1
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419897 --- Comment #35 from Ricardo --- Adding PubkeyAcceptedKeyTypes=+ssh-rsa makes the command work. > $ sshfs -odebug,sshfs_debug,loglevel=debug -o > rw,nosuid,nodev,identityfile=/home/user/.config/kdeconnect/privateKey.pem,port=1739 > -oHostKeyAlgorithms=+ssh-rsa -oPubkeyAcceptedKeyTypes=+ssh-rsa > kdeconnect@ip-address:/ /run/user/1000/device-id But when accessed from Dolphin, I still get the error and the folders in my device appear empty. However, if I don't use Dolphin but copy files using the terminal, it works. That's good enough for me, but it'd be great if Dolphin can be made to work as it used to. Another bit of information that may be helpful is that I tried downgrading kdeconnect and the linux kernel with the headers and none brought this functionality back. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

When starting a new session of Ekos, the value reported in the Guide UI is "0.0". I tried manually writing a value of "0.5" in the UI configuration file, but in that case the module reverts to a default value of "2.0" at the start of a new session. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start an Ekos session, connect to INDI (I connect locally), set desired accuracy in Guide module at "0.5" arcsecs 2. Disconnect, finish Ekos/Kstars session. 3. [krita] [Bug 428321] New: Selection Tools Have Unexpected Subtractive Behaviour

When one has no pre-existing custom selection on the canvas (i.e the whole canvas is selected hence paintable) invoking a selection in subtractive mode unintuitively selects whatever shape is being draw, rather than selection everything else on the canvas. This behaviour is unexpected for two key reasons 1) It has no distinctive behaviour compared to 'Replace' or 'Add' modes even thought it is a distinct mode. 2) The logical conclusion user makes "I'm SUBTRACTING this area from my paint-able area hence masking it off" results in unexpected result since what the tool actually does is the opposite of this expectation (When there is no pre-existing selection) Though, considering this seems to be how it has always worked I'm assuming this is more of a design thing than a bug. Still I think it would be something worth altering eventually since it would make more sense that way. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Select lasso tool 2. Press S to enter subtractive mode 3. Draw around an object with the intention of removing its surroundings 4. If it’s just a pointer or a double sided arrow, I have to lift my pen from the tablet and then it works. If it’s the magnifying glass, I can’t use any tools even if I lift my pen. I have to relaunch the app. The magnifying glass form of this bug is consistently triggered if I click on the trackpad with two fingers (like a right click) or sometimes if I pinch to zoom in/out from the canvas. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 375703] Moving grouped images into another album removes groups
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375703 --- Comment #21 from Ricardo Sanz --- IMHO I don't think grouping images is so similar to subalbums. One typical use of groups is group the RAW and the JPG file of the same image. This way you only see one picture (the JPG probably) of your images instead of having the RAW image, the camera JPG and your own developed JPG. Also, about mentioned advantages, it's said: "Image groups are represented in the file system and not just in the database (better for external image manipulation)". This may be true, but is it really an advantage? Using groups for each picture and its derivatives (RAW, JPGs, etc) means each 'real' album, in the filesystem, would be a bunch of directories, with all versions of the same picture on each. Is this better than having all in the same directory? IMHO is not. Using directories for each group probably will end in a cluttered album view with thousand of tiny albums. Also, it makes necessary to select the main picture of each subalbum to be shown in the parent album: this needs a convenient GUI to do it. And, are all subalbums going to be shown in the parent album alongside the parent's picture? This will be a change in current Digikam's behavior, potentially affecting many users. Also, grouping is a feature present in other image software like Darktable or Adobe Lightroom. I just wanted to add my point of view, of course I don't know the problems that grouping brings to the Digikam base code, I'm a talking only as a user :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[akregator] [Bug 141244] aKregator updates feed even if configured to never do so
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141244 --- Comment #10 from Ricardo J. Barberis --- Unfortunately, this bug is still present on akregator 5.3.0 (applications 16.08.2) if you have Check feeds on startup enabled. Feeds also get updated if you use Ctr+L to update all the feeds, even the feeds configured to never update. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[akregator] [Bug 369382] Middle mouse click on article title behaves like left mouse button

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=323462 --- Comment #7 from Ricardo J. Barberis --- I can confirm that this bug is resolved as of akregator 5.3.0 (applications 16.08.2). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[klipper] [Bug 343519] Klipper systray widget is not closed automatically once a user has selected an item
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=343519 --- Comment #16 from Ricardo J. Barberis --- (In reply to Julien Muchembled from comment #12) > My workflow is mainly to use the clipboard with the keyboard: > - Ctrl+Q as a shortcut to open it in the bottom-right corner of the screen > - [up]/[down] arrows to select entry > - [enter] to select or [esc] to cancel (i.e. keep the already first > - focus is automatically back to the application I was using before Ctrl+Q > And I do this very often. Me too :) > But now with KDE5, the klipper is unusable, in 2 different ways. > > 1. "builtin" klipper (i.e. clipboard selected in the "general" tab of system > tray settings) > > - A shortcut can be selected in the "item" tab (no regression here) > - [enter] does not even select the entry Actually, if you select an entry with [enter] it jumps to second place! > - [esc] closes the clipboard but goes to the system tray instead of giving > back the focus the previously used application This one doesn't happen if you configure the systray to always show klipper, only if it's hidden. Still annoying beacause I prefer it hidden. And I also would like to select and close with [enter], like the external klipper does. > 2. "external" klipper (i.e. clipboard deselected, and klipper started > separately from the launcher) > > - Not possible to open it with a keyboard shortcut in a fixed place of the > screen (preferably bottom-right). It's possible to open it at the position > of the mouse but that's annoying since I never know in advance where I'll > have to look. > - [enter] and [esc] work as expected. > - Bug #93649 still there ("Separate configuration from history in Klipper's > popup menu"). I don't mind that bug, I even like to have those options there :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[klipper] [Bug 347210] Usability issues with klipper menu
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=347210 Ricardo J. Barberis changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ricardo.barbe...@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from Ricardo J. Barberis --- @Paul, you may want to try the kilpper application or the plasmoid and disable/hide the systray icon. The only downside is that you don't get a global shortcut like the systray has to open klipper over the panel, only a shortcut to open it in the mouse position. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[klipper] [Bug 341428] popup for klipper text goes crazy when alot of lines of text is copied

[Akonadi] [Bug 452958] akonadi's mysql locked with an extraneous SELECT query after resuming from sleep
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452958 --- Comment #9 from Ricardo J. Barberis --- A couple days ago I received an update to mariadb version: $ mysql -V mysql Ver 15.1 Distrib 10.6.10-MariaDB, for Linux (x86_64) using readline 5.1 So far I haven't noticed any more stuck queries fomr akonadi (cross my fingers, knock on wood, etc). akonadi was also updated e few days erlier but I think the maruadb upgrade is what fixed this: $ akonadictl -v akonadictl 5.21.1 (22.08.1) I'll monitor it for a few more days but let's hope this issue has been resolved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
