[plasmashell] [Bug 488865] Stuttering widget/button popup animation
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488865 --- Comment #6 from Miroslav Jarý --- Interesting.. I cannot reproduce it on a newly created user. I'm now trying to find out what setting causes the bug, as it seems to have more layers to it (e.g. switching the theme to Breeze does reduce the bugginess a bit on my main account, but switching the theme on the new account does not introduce the issue). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 488865] Stuttering widget/button popup animation
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488865 --- Comment #7 from Miroslav Jarý --- Quick update: I am unable to replicate it tweaking the settings via GUI, but if I copy files from .config to a newly created user, the stuttering returns. I'll continue my investigation and will post more info ASAP. Also, I've noticed that the stutter is not limited to the panel; when e.g. I trigger the "logout/shutdown" fullscreen window, the initial fade in seems laggy too. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488865 Miroslav Jarý changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDSINFO |REPORTED Resolution|WAITINGFORINFO |--- --- Comment #8 from Miroslav Jarý --- After a while, I finally figured it out! It seems that something is wrong with my "kwinoutputconfig.json" file, which I suppose stores information about monitor layouts. I would try to fix it, but I've spent so much time finding the cause of this issue, that I'll probably take the lazy way, and just delete it (and reconfigure my monitors again). Of course, if there will be a need to pinpoint the actual setting in the future, that causes this, I can try my best. For others, I've included the file in the attachments above. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

On 44 - 48px text is clipped. I think that the rounding which is done on smaller sizes is a neat solution and I would prefer it over the chart overflowing (so try first to fit the whole text, if not, round the numbers, and if it still does not fit, make text smaller/overflow it over the pie graph itself). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set panel height to 44 - 48px. 2. Add "Total CPU Usage" widget OBSERVED RESULT The text inside the pie chart is clipped at the end (missing decimal numbers/units). EXPECTED RESULT Numbers in the graph will be rounded, or the text will be made smaller to fit the area. [krunner] [Bug 495245] New: Weird order of entries in application search
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=495245 Bug ID: 495245 Summary: Weird order of entries in application search Classification: Plasma Product: krunner Version: 6.2.1 Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: mira.j...@gmail.com CC: alexander.loh...@gmx.de, natalie_clar...@yahoo.de Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 175146 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=175146&action=edit List of entries for the phrase "cli" SUMMARY Application search has sometimes weird order of entries. For example, when I want to open CLion, and search for "cl" or "clio", it is the first in the list. However, when I enter "cli", it is for some unknown reason after "Slack" and "Qbittorrent" entries (I suppose because they both have "client" in it's description). I guess there are two issues - in the fuzzy search itself (why is different order on "cl" and "cli"), and in the priority (app name should always have priority in search over the description). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install apps as seen in the screenshot (alternatively I can directly provide their .desktop files) 2. Open KRunner. 3. Search for phrases "cl", "cli", "clio" OBSERVED RESULT CLion is on the third place in the list for phrase "cli". EXPECTED RESULT CLion should be in the first place for all the phrases as it's the best match from the entries. [kwin] [Bug 496469] Memory leaks and instabilities on multi-monitor setup
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=496469 --- Comment #82 from Miroslav Jarý --- After a bit of testing, it seems that in this report there are many separate issues, with similar symptoms - memory leak. Some people report that replugging the monitors temporarily resolves the issue, but I cannot confirm this; for me the only way that the issue can be resolved is to simply reboot. Also there is a discussion about kernel versions and in the thread there was mentioned that downgrading to 6.6 LTS fixes the issue, however again I cannot confirm this (maybe anybody else can?). I've not managed to test out the 6.14 kernel to try out if it resolves. May I suggest to create some kind of "checklist" from all the information in this issue to better group people with the same actual problem and symptoms, and from there we can create separate reports and focus more on the individual problems and their origin (as well as if the source is kwin, kernel etc.)? Is there anyone from the dev team/community who would be able to create such checklist? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
