https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=466901 --- Comment #3 from Maksym Hazevych --- The PR you linked is more about Fedora's RPM I believe. But this problem is in the Flatpak build. [dolphin] [Bug 427420] New: Dolphin asks confirmation on closing with multiple tabs, if set to restore from last time
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=427420 Bug ID: 427420 Summary: Dolphin asks confirmation on closing with multiple tabs, if set to restore from last time Product: dolphin Version: 20.08.1 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: dpa...@protonmail.com CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Dolphin, by default, asks for confirmation to exit when closing window with multiple tabs. Considering that it also, by default, restores state from last time - confirmation is unnecessary. Originally, this confirmation was used to prevent closing everything when wanted to close active tab, but now it's not "dangerous", because can be undone by opening Dolphin again. This confirmation is also strange to see when powering off - it literally asks if you want to close active tab instead, right before whole program, and system, "closes". STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Dolphin with default settings 2. Make new tab 3. Close Dolphin OBSERVED RESULT Asks for confirmation to close, gives option to close active tab instead. EXPECTED RESULT Just closes, at least when reason is system powering off. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Possible solutions: 1. Keeping confirmation option uncheck by default, and asking users to activate it, when they change "Show on startup" to not restore from last session. Cons: a) popup will be annoying, also because second option needs to be configured right after selected. b) warning text literally asking to go and turn it on manually will be stupid 2. Keeping confirmation option uncheck by default, automatically turning it on when user change "Show on startup" to not restore from last session. Cons: a) unclear and may be annoying 3. Duplicate confirmation option to also be under second option of "Show on startup". Cons: a) mess 4. Not asking if closing because system powers off 5. RESOLVED NOT A BUG/INTENTIONAL -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 425660] "Run command->Add command" behavior
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425660 --- Comment #1 from Maksym Hazevych --- Accidentally created issue without proper description. So, here it is: SUMMARY "Run command->Add command" opens KDE Connect Settings in it`s own window. Instead, it should open System Settings on KDE Connect page (with Run Commands popup) - this behavior is now standard when opening concrete settings pages. Also, if, when pressing, you already have KDE Connect opened in System Settings - error "This configuration section is already opened in System Settings" will pop-up. SUMMARY There should be some indication that folder is empty, maybe literally text "Folder is empty". I always think that folders are loading, and only after ~5 seconds get that I'm staring at empty folder. There should be some indication whether folder is empty or have hidden items. Currently, with "show hidden files" option disabled, you can accidentally delete "empty" folder with hidden files, without noticing. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Delete any empty folder. 2. Delete any folder with only hidden files, while "show hidden files" is off. OBSERVED RESULT No indication whether you are deleting just empty folder, or folder with only hidden files. EXPECTED RESULT Indication that folder is empty or have hidden files. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Also, every time I open empty folder - I'm staring at it for like 5 seconds, just to realize it's not loading, but just empty. So some obvious indication, apart from empty view, like literally "Folder is empty" text would be good. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
