[kdenlive] [Bug 450789] New: Crashes, crashes, crashes...
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=450789 Bug ID: 450789 Summary: Crashes, crashes, crashes... Product: kdenlive Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: critical Priority: NOR Component: Installation Assignee: vpi...@kde.org Reporter: m...@mailbox.org Target Milestone: --- Hey... I came here between 6-12 months ago ranting about Kdenlive its stability - it was impossible to me to start Kdenlive on several fresh installed distributions . Now I gave it another try...a complete fresh installed Mint Cinnamon with latest Kdenlive... 🤗 The good point at first: Kdenlive is starting now!!! Hoooray 👍🥳 But: Its unusable. Its crashing so unbelieveable often.really, its completely unbelieveable. It crashes randomly when adding images or audio to my project, it crashes randomly when trying to move my added pieces to timeline, it crashes when playing with simpliest effects(for sure with gpu accel playback turned on - we have 2022). It crashes in every goddamn (im)possible situation!!! WHY? Can you explain me please what exactly you are doing here? This should be no trolling, I just want to understand why you are not able to bring out a stable release people can work with over years? I watch this for a long time and...sorry, but its so strange what is going on here to me - you are working on one of the optical best videoeditors for Linux - but its completely unusable due to crashes?!I just want to understand why you are working on something, that is impossible to be used for productivity for such a long time? And please dont say me now "but it works for a hand full of people" - watch this desaster on the web and look around how many people complain of exactly this - the complete lack of stability in Kdenlive. Have you never read all these comments on Yt under several Kdenlive-videos complaining about crashes and stability? Are you not interested what people are writing about their experience with Kdenlive? I'd really like to help somehow by report specific bugs - but I assume there is a big, fat problem in general somewhere in Kdenlive or its development. Cant you put ALL your efforts in making Kdenlive stable? Otherwise everything youre doing here is complete nonsense and waste of time in my opinion. You created such a nice tool - but its unusable due to tons of crashes and stability issues. Test it. Test it better. Find testers. Find more testers. Hear what they say. Please. Please make Kdenlive MUCH MUCH more stable and fix all these annoying crashes! TEST IT BETTER, test it al all please. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 441438] Missing / unstable GPU-acceleration
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=441438 --- Comment #2 from Kickass --- Your new master-branch upload of 21.11.70 minutes ago is producing the same as your old version - it just does not start on Ubuntu 21.04 and shows tons of errors. As said, look for someone who test software before a release and hear on his advice ;) Do you really need a log/screenshot? I assume you'll find out the problems yourself - when you test it (!) as testers do, before spreading something into the world, and you begin to put yourself in other peoples situation. Business is war my son...and since when do people pay others before they deliver a working product? Am 23. [kdenlive] [Bug 441434] Tons of errors

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=441434 --- Comment #5 from Kickass --- Btw I was able in the meanwhile to start it once (as sudo) - after I turned on OpenGL in options it refuse to start again. console-output is attached in my last answer. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 441434] Tons of errors
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=441434 --- Comment #9 from Kickass --- Created attachment 141164 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=141164&action=edit console output Mint Mate 20.1 In the meanwhile I checked this (Kdenlive 21.08.0) on a different OS (Mint Mate 20.1) - with the same result. It was starting without 'sudo' (but with tons of errors again), after enabling OpenGL, it refuses to start completely. Even without video acceleration enabled - there are tons (!) of errors (that shouldn`t be there)...and as I used a completely different OS on a different harddrive, I assume its not a problem of what I am doing or of my OS. Consle-outputs are attached. Seems you have many, many problems to solve^^ Is there a better video-editor on Linux available which works? DaVinci Resolve also does not start here...its a very bad and frustrating situation for Linux! Horrible. At least when you need it for work. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
