[print-manager] [Bug 427307] New: Strange behavior of module 'Printers--System Settings'
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=427307 Bug ID: 427307 Summary: Strange behavior of module 'Printers--System Settings' Product: print-manager Version: 20.04 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dantt...@gmail.com Reporter: ken.jars...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Canon Pixma MX-922 worked previously over wifi on KDE Neon 5.19 (18.04). Fresh install of kubuntu results in strange printer issue. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Fresh install of kubuntu with printer shut off. 2. Open Printers in System Settings, see "no printers have been configured or discovered." 3. Power up printer. Printer automatically appears in Printers dialog! (I have never seen this before!) Power off printer, select All Settings and then select again Printers - and the printer disappears! 4. When printer appears, select Maintenance - Print Test Page OBSERVED RESULT Printer front panel reports, "There is no paper in the cassette (upper). The upper cassette supports smaller, photo sized paper and was NOT selected. Again select Maintenance - Print Test Page and error message appears, "No suitable destination host found by cups-browsed." Manually adding and selecting a printer (a second instance) and sending a Test Page from the Printer dialog has the same result. The second instance CAN be removed. EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: kubuntu 20.04.1 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0 Qt Version: 5.12.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Printer dialog reports: Kind: Canon MX920 series, driverless, cups-filters 1.27.4 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I have been using the AppImage on KDE Neon 18.04 for over a year and it works great. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 387727] New: Waveform monitor and 'scopes display random information even with no clips added.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387727 Bug ID: 387727 Summary: Waveform monitor and 'scopes display random information even with no clips added. Product: kdenlive Version: 17.08.3 Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based) OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: ken.jars...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Kdenlive 17.08.3 install from AppImage on Linux Mint Cinnamon. 1. Start Kdenlive 2. Open View menu and add Waveform Monitor. Waveform Monitor has full-frame response 3. Press Right-arrow key several times until WM "dances" (see video). All 'scopes exhibit strange behavior as well. Video Rendering appears unaffected. If I boot this same PC with Knoppix 8.1 on a flash-drive which has Kdenlive 17.08.0 pre-installed the Waveform Monitor and scopes all work perfectly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kate] [Bug 394908] New: Printer Options will not save
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394908 Bug ID: 394908 Summary: Printer Options will not save Product: kate Version: 16.04 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: application Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: ken.jars...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Kate was the only application I could find in the list for this bug. All applications which require printing will be impacted by this bug. KDE Neon 5.12.5, Qt version 5.10.0 Using Canon PIXMA MX922 AIO printer/scanner wifi network connection. Printer worked fine using default parameters although I found it necessary to always change from A4 to Letter page size. OPTION WOULD NOT SAVE Trouble began when using the application gLabels in an attempt to print directly on CD/DVD media. Somehow I was able to set Configure printer/Printer Options for Media Size, Media Type and Media Source for the CD/DVD disks. However, now I cannot set those back to print on paper. As a workaround I can change the Printer Options, click Apply and then print on paper but clicking on OK the options will revert to CD/DVD. Additional observations: 1. Opening the Printer Options I always have to expand the window horizontally to set the Media Size option. The Printer Options window size is NEVER remembered. 2. Opening the Print Queue window I always have to expand the window horizontally in order to see the printer job names and progress. The Printer Queue window size is NEVER remembered. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kate] [Bug 394908] Printer Options will not save
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394908 --- Comment #1 from Ken Jarstad --- I found the CLI tool 'system-config-printer' would save the printer configuration changes correctly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
