[partitionmanager] [Bug 490290] New: LVM: Resize lvm partition does not resize PV
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=490290 Bug ID: 490290 Summary: LVM: Resize lvm partition does not resize PV Classification: Applications Product: partitionmanager Version: 22.12.3 Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: andr...@stikonas.eu Reporter: irik77...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create small lvm partition (pv1, 600MiB) 2. add to vg1 3. create lv to fill up the entire space 4. create another lvm partition (pv2, 250GiB) 5. add that to vg1 6. fill it with lv 7. enlarge pv2 (300GiB) 8. remove pv1 from vg1 OBSERVED RESULT - kde partition manager failed to remove pv1 - terminal `pvmove` failed - gparted solved the issue with pv2 - `pvmove` command worked this time - kde partition manager was able to remove pv1 from vg1 EXPECTED RESULT kde partition manager alone should be able to remove pv1 from vg1 Or not allow to proceed due to insufficient disk space in case. [partitionmanager] [Bug 470675] Broken NTFS after moving partition
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=470675 Ishrak changed: What|Removed |Added CC||irik77...@gmail.com --- Comment #2 from Ishrak --- Does *partitionmanager* use *parted* under the hood? If so, I recently found that parted would fail to format disk.img but gparted will work. I think I messed up the start of the first partition in parted but *gparted* just did automatically. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
