Bug ID: 495780
   Summary: Settings keyboard navigation missing, 24.11.70
[nightly, via AppImage]
Classification: Applications
   Product: kate
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: accessibility
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: banaanihi...@protonmail.ch
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 175507
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=175507&action=edit
the Colors section of the theme editor, with a specific color item in keyboard
focus

SUMMARY

Settings > Configure Kate > Color Themes > Theme Editor > Colors appears not to
work at all using the keyboard. Navigation onto a specific item within the
Colors tab does work, but changing the options seems to require a mouse. Tried
with space, arrow right, menu key and enter [the first three do nothing, the
latter closes the settings modal altogether]

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Settings
2. Configure Kate
3. Color Themes
4. Theme Editor
5. [pick a theme that is not built in, or make a copy of one]
6. Colors
7. Attempt to reach any of the individual color items using the keyboard only

OBSERVED RESULT
Can navigate to individual color items using the arrow keys, but can not open
any sort of input that would allow to change said colors

EXPECTED RESULT
Expected to be able to open up something with which to modify the colors of a
theme, using some combination of the arrow keys, space, the menu key, tab,
enter, what have you

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: GNOME 42.9, X11, Ubuntu 22.04

--- Comment #7 from Havu  ---
Everything is blinking on Kate and Neochat, both versions 24.08.3 on Ubuntu
22.04 on GNOME 42.9 and X11. I seem to recall the AppImage of Kate respecting
the global options [from the KDE side? or maybe the GNOME setting?] but I don't
have the exact version of that available anymore.

`~/.config/kdeglobals` has the following set:
[KDE]
CursorBlinkRate=0

and the GNOME setting that appears to work for pretty much everything other
than KDE applications:
`gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.interface cursor-blink` [which returns
`false`]

I also have `~/.qt/qtrc` set to the following:
[General]
cursorFlashTime=0
