[ktimetracker] [Bug 476515] New: System tray icon not working as expected, and making the app unusable at some cases by not letting the app start while the icon is still active.

2023-11-03 Thread Furkan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=476515

Bug ID: 476515
Summary: System tray icon not working as expected, and making
the app unusable at some cases by not letting the app
start while the icon is still active.
Classification: Applications
   Product: ktimetracker
   Version: 5.0.1
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: aspotas...@gmail.com
  Reporter: muhammedfurkanek...@proton.me
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
So, when I use KTimeTracker, by reflex I close it after starting or stopping a
timer. I saw a system tray icon and thought it was a great addition. I clicked
to open the app again to stop the tracker but it did not start. I tried
right-click menu's contents but it was of no use. I have to open the app from
my start menu shortcut again to actually open it. knowing I could had a faster
way to open the app hurts.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the app, then close it while the system tray icon option is enabled (so
the icon could actually appear).
2. Click on the system tray icon, which should open the app.

OBSERVED RESULT
App not oppening. You have to close the app from the right-click menu of the
icon of shut the process forcefully using Task Manager.
Alternatively you can close the tray icon option to avoid the problem
completely.

EXPECTED RESULT
App opens smoothly when clicked on the tray icon

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 10
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Please put more apps available on windows man, I have dug the internet for the
Dolphin's binaries. I would love to see more KDE apps on windows so I can try
them out before making the change to linux. I am actively using FileLight for
example. I would use Elisa on a daily basis too.

[lattedock] [Bug 413257] New: Task Launcher order gets shuffled if there are targets starting with file://

2019-10-20 Thread Furkan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413257

Bug ID: 413257
Summary: Task Launcher order gets shuffled if there are targets
starting with file://
   Product: lattedock
   Version: 0.9.3
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: plasmoid
  Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com
  Reporter: furkanust...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I have

launchers=applications:firefox.desktop,applications:org.kde.dolphin.desktop,applications:org.kde.konsole.desktop,file:///home/eksi/.local/share/flatpak/exports/share/applications/com.spotify.Client.desktop

in my ~/.config/lattedockrc file and every time I open a new application from
the dock order of the applications change, sometimes they even disappear from
the list and re-appear after I close one or two apps.

I've tested this using the Default layout with Unique tasks.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add a launcher that have a custom .desktop file (Either from flatpak or
~/.local/share/applications/)
2. Launch any of the applications from the task group

OBSERVED RESULT
Order of the applications changes

EXPECTED RESULT
They should stay the same

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.63.0
Qt Version: 5.13.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I noticed this issue after doing a system upgrade, which upgraded lattedock
from 0.9.2 to 0.9.3. However, I've tested both 0.9.2 and 0.9.1 from source and
the same issue appears in both of them as well. Thus, I am suspecting maybe the
real culprit is in KDE or QT internals.

Only Latte Tasks Plasmoid has this problem. If I add the problematic
applications outside of the task area as launchers. They work fine. Icon-only
taskmanager also maintains its order correctly.

I made the investigation and working on it.

Plan
1- Porting "Dekstop Behavior -> Workspace" KCM to QML
(KDeclarative::ConfigModule)
2- kdeglobals.[KDE].SingleClick configuration should be controlled by two radio
buttons from "Desktop Behavior -> Workspace".
3- All the things about "SingleClick" in "plasma-desktop -> kcms -> input"
needs to be removed. No need them anymore.

This patch will solve Bug 377310 too.

[neon] [Bug 399431] New: Apt Broken After Bionic Upgrade

2018-10-06 Thread Furkan Tokac
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399431

Bug ID: 399431
Summary: Apt Broken After Bionic Upgrade
   Product: neon
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Packages Dev Edition [unstable]
  Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: furkantoka...@gmail.com
CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Apt Broken After Bionic Upgrade

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. In 16.04 Neon, install following packages;

libc6-armel-cross
libc6-dev-armel-cross
libc6-armhf-cross
libc6-dev-armhf-cross

2. Upgrade system to 18.04 Bionic

OBSERVED RESULT
"apt" is broken. Cannot resolve the issue. "apt --fix-broken install" doesn't
work.

EXPECTED RESULT
It should flawlesly work.

SOFTWARE VERSIONS
(available in About System)
Basically I upgraded from the most up-to-date Unstable Xenial branch to
Unstable Bionic branch.
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.51.0
Qt Version: 5.11.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
To solve the issue, I manually removed the problematic packages and it worked.
dpkg -P libc6-armel-cross
dpkg -P libc6-dev-armel-cross
dpkg -P libc6-armhf-cross
dpkg -P libc6-dev-armhf-cross

There were extra dependencies for packages and I manually removed all. This
process can be automated at upgrade time.
