Yes I use fish. The problem was at work so I can't wait to have my PC working,
so I reinstalled Neon and problem was solved. But now I have bash as default
for my user and fish only in yakuake. I didn't test with fish as default.

I do the upgrade on another PC where I have fish as default shell, and there is
no bug here. So... fish alone is not the problem. Maybe something in fish I
don't have here. Or the problem is elsewhere

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413134

Bug ID: 413134
Summary: Night colors disabled when we open gamma in settings
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.17.0
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: floreal@flo-art.fr
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Night colors are disabled while we open gamma in settings

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open system settings
2. Select "Display and Monitor"
3. Go to "Color night", check activate night color and select "Constant" for
Mode
4. Apply
5. Go to Gamma item

OBSERVED RESULT

After step 4, color change to the desired temperature. After step 5,
temperature go back to the default one without correction. The temperature
never go back even we change tab or close settings. The only way to fix it is
to go back to night color in settings and re-apply it.

EXPECTED RESULT

Temparature should be kept when we go to gamma, or at least reapplied when we
leave this settings.

In 5.14.2 version:

Problem solved for QT applications (dolphin, vlc).

For some gtk applications (libreoffice, gimp), the problem persists. But if I
minimize then restore the application (or switch to another application, then
go back to libreoffice or gimp), the checkboxes are now present.

But for other gtk applications (thunderbird, firefox), the problem is solved
like qt applications. Is it due to different gtk version (2 or 3)?

So, problem only partially fixed...

OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal

SUMMARY
When kde connect is associated to a smartphone and the association is done
during kde initialisation (just after login), the dashboard make more time to
launch

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Associate your phone with your computer
2. Logout and login again, keeping your phone screen active (if not the
association will not hapen, at least for me*)

OBSERVED RESULT
The dashboard is longer to show. If you use an app menu bar with miniature box
and launcher integrated to it, it's even more slow). Sometimes, there is a
message saying a partition makes times to respond (the partition is one of your
available ones, randomly).
If you disconnect your phone from your local network, you never have these
problems.

EXPECTED RESULT
The dashboard should be not delayed. If kde connect makes some time to launch,
let's do it in the background without blocking all computer...

syslog

I updated today libkf5screen7.

I have previously the version: 4:5.12.5-0neon+16.04+xenial+build60
Now I have the version: 4:5.12.5-0neon+16.04+xenial+build61

So, only build number change.

After this upgrade, all icons in the system tray (where we have sound icon,
networkmanager icon, ...) which are not part of KDE base are not shown anymore
(for example the nextcloud client icon and clementine icon). Also, when we plug
in a device, click to "Open with dolphin" has no more effect.

In /var/log/syslog, I notice some logs which could help to find the problem. I
add these line as attachment to this bug report.

So, my only solution is to downgrade this package to build 60 until a fix is
published.

With plasma 5.10, we had a circled number indicating for example:
- Number of files being copied in dolphin task icon
- Number of new mails in thunderbird task icon
- Number of active downloads in chromium task icon

Also, we had the status of the downloads for chromium or of the file copied for
dolphin that appeared in their respective task icons (in green).

All those things does not appear anymore since I update to 5.11 version of
plasma. It's the case for all computers I manage (5). The option "Show progress
and status information in task buttons" is still checked, uncheck and re-check
it does not change anything.
