[Spectacle] [Bug 423673] New: Rectangular region - highlighted area doesn't appear

2020-06-29 Thread Corrado Mella
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423673

Bug ID: 423673
Summary: Rectangular region - highlighted area doesn't appear
   Product: Spectacle
   Version: 17.12.3
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: General
  Assignee: m...@baloneygeek.com
  Reporter: corrado.me...@gmail.com
CC: k...@david-redondo.de
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

When choosing the "Rectangular Region" Capture Mode Area, (regardless of "on
click" activated or not), when dragging the mouse the area is not visible.
Any change in the "Rectangular Region" settings in the program preferences does
not fix the problem.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Setup Spectacle as above
2. Click, hold and start dragging
3. Release the click

OBSERVED RESULT
Mouse cursor correctly changes shape to a "+" while dragging.
No area is visibly highlighted.
On release, the mouse cursor changes shape to an open hand where the captured
region should be, to corner drag pointer where the upper left / lower right
corner of the selection should be, to a closed fist when clicking inside where
the selection should be to drag it.
Captured area is successfully available in the program after double click /
"Enter" keypress.

EXPECTED RESULT
As above, but with visible highlighted area.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.12.9
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.47.0
Qt Version: 5.9.5
Kernel Version: 5.3.0-42-generic

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Triple screen setup, two 24" on 2x DVI from PCI Express nVidia card, third
screeen on VGA from onboard port on Intel 6 Series / C200 chipset.
On fully up to date Kubuntu 18.40 LTS with backports repo enabled, nouveau
drivers for the NnVidia card, i915 for the onboard Intel chipset.
Compositor enabled on OpenGL 3.1 with the inbuilt helper for KSnapshot
*disabled* to avoid conflicts. Enabling it doesn't change anything.

[kmail2] [Bug 409809] New: does not sync all emails (gmail + other imap)

2019-07-14 Thread Corrado Lanera
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409809

Bug ID: 409809
Summary: does not sync all emails (gmail + other imap)
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.9.3
  Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: folders
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: corrado.lan...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Emails are retrieved in Inbox only up to a certain period for some account, and
only for some folders.

Gmail: "Inbox" has emails from the beginning (10/2007) up to last November
(11/2018). All newer emails are not present. On the other hand, emails under
labels (e.g., I have a Gmail label "GitHub" for the emails from GitHub) are
there up to now. "Sent" and "Important" folder is updated up to 11/2018 too.
"Special" is updated up to now (I guess, the last email there is from
13/06/2019). "All messages" folder is updated up to 11/2018 too.

I have checked IMAP configuration on Gmail, and it is active, without
limitation on the number or size of emails that can be retrieved. Change label
to an e-mail has strange behavior: if I mark an email as "special" (starred)
nothing happen, and the email remains missing in KMail; if I add to an email
the "GitHub" label it will be downloaded from KMail, and the system notifies it
too.

Something similar happens with another email account (from my university:
@unipd.it), it is synced from the beginning up to 02/2016! Moreover, "draft"
and "sent" are empty (and there are plenty of emails inside the corresponding
folders on the server). I have checked: on the local subscription settings they
are all "subscribed."

On the other hands, my @outlook.com account doesn't seem to have any problem,
and all the folders are correctly synced and updated.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
I don't know, I try to remove the account and re-activate them but the
situation does not change.

OBSERVED RESULT
Missing emails

EXPECTED RESULT
All emails present

When "details progress windows" shows information for the mentioned Gmail's
folders (i.e., "important", "inbox", and "all emails"), after some times in
which it still at 0% or 1%, it states "connection lost," and pass to the next
folder/account.

The account which is not Google start working correctly. It could be a Google
issue; I have opened a request of assistance to them too
(https://support.google.com/mail/thread/10078612?msgid=10078612). Hope that one
of you two can be of help :-)

Thanks.

Remark: the issue is related to Inbox, All mail, and Send; all the other
folder/label seems to work correctly.
