What could be the problem? It seems everything else functional, I mean I get the notification and remote input, etc, the phone name appears in Dolphin, only directory access won't work. Firewall ports 1714-1764 udp tcp implemented. Tried several workaround, full reinstall, erase related folders, on android too. I have to note, very rarely it come alive, for example when I installed an other Android app for ftp and connected to it with Dolphin. I was able the access the phone by rightclicking on the phone name given by kdeconnect (not the one connected with other app obviously) / edit and click on open file dialog and examining finished pop up message appeard. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404972 --- Comment #6 from Andras --- Oh, yep, that's great. What have to test...? Really? I think any one or 'even' you guys should be able to test it too with a miserable wacom pad and a simple neon install, lol. Ridiculous, sorry maybe I got tired today and I just lost my temper but let me put it simple. Don't close bug reports after 1.5 month if the waiting time for any reaction is the very same time if not a lot more. Don't get me wrong, I understand the policy and rules however developments should consider the fact that reporter may got tired to check given report after more then a month waiting. Also I have no time neither. I try to report back soon as I got a little time. Sorry for my previous feedback, I'm undeniably hothead lol. Sometimes it's still freezing a little with 4.1.8, mostly it's not so it seems there is already an improvement too. I got no wacom related freezing with downloaded krita-4.2.0-pre-alpha-4e2b1b5-x86_64.appimage at all. I have to note I'm not sure these freezing issues on my system related to Krita however it really could be something with Nvidia too. I mentioning this because recently I changed a significant settings, I just turned off composition pipeline and got Nvidia to work with triplebuffer instead. Probably it's not related, I thought just in case worth noting such a change. So basically it works great for me now. Thanks -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

In short there is nothing specific I use, I utterly have no clue about pfBlockerNG or DNSBL etc. I think Falkon should work on a basic KDE neon setup without these anoying popups. Also I think it will appear with QtWebEngine 5.12.1 as well. I'm just saying it's ok to have this issue, only it is still an abnormal behaving by Falkon, at least on my system and it's appeared not yesterday but long long ago on my previous installations too. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

However there are cases when I have to save the document and restart Krita, in this case there is no palette popup, only a right click menu when I click with the mouse right button. Although I wasn't able to find other similar report here, I hope there is already some info and experiences by others about this problem. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connect drawing pad, in my case Wacom Intuos 5 2. Fire up krita with some stuff and try to use cloning, blender, airbrush by switching between them using your drawing pad. 3. Try to solve the freezing with your mouse or switching between Scaling Mode. OBSERVED RESULT Krita freezes, no cursor movement, palette popup. EXPECTED RESULT No freeze, flawless work. As far as I know, fundamentally and systemwide I use Xorg believe it or not. Good to hear some info were relevant from my attachment however I don't think the system uses Wayland in a significant way. I mean I also checked just now and yes there are Wayland related signs and I don't know how KDE neon works with Xorg exactly but I'm sure I can't even login to my system with Plasma Wayland if that's what you contend here. I login with basic Plasma what uses Xorg for sure. Why is it so sure Falkon is sick about any part of Wayland by the way? Please believe me this is my current output for this: loginctl show-session 3 -p Type Type=x11 Also no, it's not accepting after I drop it to desktop or whatever you mentioning. Please try to understand what I wrote and check the 2nd video, again, the end of the 2nd video more carefuly if you didn't see what I'm talking about. The only and the only case when falkon is accepting detached tab on this system when I touch the edge of Falkon's tab line with the cursor while I hold given tab to place. I don't know what other wording should I use, please check the 2nd video ending. Widgets lock didn't solve it. I won't expecting here anything, it's a simple bug report because for me, it seems a Falkon bug very much. Maybe it'll solved by you or by time cause this issue can be relevant to complex qt or any other stuff what Falkon uses. Firefox, Crhomium, Vivaldi works related to this altough they're a very different kind of browsers as it's obvious. However it's still crashing when several filter layer used and modified and also when G'MIC plugin used, etc. I noticed it's happening mostly when the document exceeds 1GB however yes, it could be GPU related too. I reported this not because I'm boring or something and feels good to report bugs but because I'm tired of this crashes, I'm already dealing with it for more then a year now. Sorry but I had difficult experiences about Krita bug reports especially related to this crashes. Also there are several other annoying issue like cloning is simple wrong, and cursor freezes with Wacom drawing pad, etc. Sorry for the not related mentioned things, I try to explain there are real issues with Krita and it'd be great to see fixes around this issues after a long time now. To be honest, I won’t expect it because seemingly it works great for painting and all these issue mainly retouch related only and probably not a great number of people use Krita for retouching. [krita] [Bug 406062] Krita crashes in several situations, possibly file size or GPU related
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406062 --- Comment #2 from Andras --- I assume you meant don't report the same bug separately, add it to the existing one instead. Ok and I'm sorry about that however it wasn't an option on the bug report gui what appeared after the crash. Why nothing else freezes if it's really Nvidia problem then? I mean when everything works great and only one thing is problematic than I'd suspect there is something else in the background what cause this. Isn't it possible something in Krita what generates this GPU issue initially and we should look more deeper into this issue then this single backtrace? I understand if there is no time for this or no reason to proceed from developer point of view and also I know, well, nothing serious around this Qt vs GPU 'stuff' or what anyways, at least I don't see clearly what's going on. Obviously I hope it'll be solved somehow however I'm just planing to get an AMD setup so probably this will not be an issue there. Thanks for the prompt response, and yes, I'll add my report to the same bug on bugs.kde.org website in similar cases. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406062 --- Comment #5 from Andras --- (In reply to comment #4) Sorry for the late answer, mostly I try to make things simple so I installed the basic driver implemented into given KDE neon 5.15 and its version is 390.116-0ubuntu0.18.04.1 so basically it's the closed one if i'm right about this. As far as I know open source Nvidia driver doesn't exist, Nouveau is the open source project for Nvidia cards. Inform me if I'm wrong about this. So in short it's the not open source Nvidia driver. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdeconnect] [Bug 400178] KDEConnect fails to open remote phone directory as it says protocol died unexpectedly
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400178 --- Comment #31 from Andras --- Those who allegedly able to mount and access phone directories manually, please report your Kdeconnect version too. I was just hilariously frustrated why the hack it won't work for me till I just got kdeconnect 1.3.2 upgrade from 1.3.1. Now my results are: qdbus org.kde.kdeconnect /modules/kdeconnect/devices/0d78094f9d46e0b2/sftp isMounted false qdbus org.kde.kdeconnect /modules/kdeconnect/devices/0d78094f9d46e0b2/sftp mountAndWait true qdbus org.kde.kdeconnect /modules/kdeconnect/devices/0d78094f9d46e0b2/sftp isMounted true Now, I also able to reach phone directories through /run/user/1000/... with Kdeconnect 1.3.2. However I think, it's important to note at least from the aspect of Plasma Desktop, Dolphin still won't access and it's still saying "protocol died unexpectedly". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400178 --- Comment #41 from Andras --- (In reply to Simon from comment #40) Then It's a great example then users shouldn't rely on and cling to specific open source projects by names and shouldn't be loyal and shouldn't expect loyalty. I see some development makes its testing on more popular Distributions however as a not developer I assumed KDE project testing on KDE neon first as a matter of respect and if KDE neon itself wants to reach any level of popularity. If KDE Connect project is based on popularity so much then it should and I think it'll change its name sooner or later. Simon don't get me wrong, keep up the good work. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400178 --- Comment #44 from Andras --- I made a several attempts and increasing max_user_watches at boot seems to be the most significant one. I mean is it possible it's something with cryptographic algorithms compatibility that the system in KDE neon won't provide the legacy one? Related to this, once I got this line for example: --- kdeconnect.plugin.sftp: stdout: "Unable to negotiate with 192.168.0.0 port 1739: no matching host key type found. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400178 --- Comment #53 from Andras --- You guys are awesome how fast the upgrades appeared in packages, thanks. I assume it was related to this bug also. I try to solve this on two desktop pc with two phone(beta app on both). I hope it's only for me and the main issue is solved. I still can't get Kdeconnect to work. Restart --> still won't work Remove /var/tmp/kdecache-user /~.cache/kio /~.config/kdeconnect and remove data from kdeconnect app on phone Restart --> still won't work The issue is the same, I mean I get the very same messages except right after the upgrade I got some additional stuff implemented by you guys I think, such as: kdeconnect.plugin.sftp: add to dolphin I'd like to note also, I still get the same result I mentioned above: kdeconnect.plugin.sftp: stdout: "Unable to negotiate with 192.168.0.0 port 1739: no matching host key type found. [kdeconnect] [Bug 400178] KDEConnect fails to open remote phone directory as it says protocol died unexpectedly
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400178 --- Comment #64 from Andras --- Ok, although it's closed I'd note, I think it's because the older 1.3 version of KDE Connect what KDE neon kept asks for dated ssh-dss type of cryptographic algorithm what is disabled by default on current OpenSSH. It's highly NOT recommended but you can enable it by placing a line into /etc/ssh/ssh_conf. However you should make a copy previously: sudo cp /etc/ssh/ssh_config /etc/ssh/ssh_config.factory-defaults Then add the following to ssh_config file: PubkeyAcceptedKeyTypes +ssh-dss Even if you can't wait and make this modification, you should undo it right after you got KDE Connect 1.4. Or should I be a poet for a bug report? Also the Backtrace is redundant then? It's not the first time I get reluctant replay so feel free to close this report as you can anyway. I try to explain more detailed in case if you won't close this bug: Lets say, open a ~20MB tif or jpg file. Duplicate the layer and put it into a group. For example, create 6 layer in the group and convert 3 of them into Color Adjustment, 2 of them into Color Balance and 1 of them into Levels filter mask. Obviously change all of them, I mean don't leave them with default set because it won't change anything on the image and it won't cause process for Krita. Use the Airbrush_soft with ~50% Flow. Apply or hide the filters. (Apply: filter is filled with black and the brush is white. Hide: filter is filled with white and the brush is black.) https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394974 --- Comment #17 from Andras --- Instant preview was turned on all the time, there was no animation. I uploaded my Krita settings to shared folder. Also I uploaded one of my real editing what contains stuff where the bunch of processes crashes Krita more likely. I hope this helps find out more. I set Krita to save log however there is never anything in the log folder. I'd try to record the process, although recently I replaced my i3 CPU to i7, also there where upgrades for Krita and there is no crash for a week already. I don't know, it's weird too that I'm alone with this issue, I mean nobody else experienced similar crashes. I hope the crashes ceased definitively not just for a week. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394974 --- Comment #19 from Andras --- (In reply to Boudewijn Rempt from comment #18) > Could it be that there was a problem with your old hardware? That CPU is 1.5 years old only and it still works well on other MB and it'd be crazy if Krita would be useless with 6th gen i3 CPU however yes, it could be related to how Krita moreover my System is handling hardwares because there are no more crash with 7th gen i7 CPU so far. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394974 Andras changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Version|4.0.3 |4.1.1 Ever confirmed|0 |1 Resolution|INVALID |--- --- Comment #21 from Andras --- (In reply to Boudewijn Rempt from comment #20) > I'm sorry, but I'm going to close this report. You're not clear on what your > system is, you're not clear on the description of what's going on, with what > we've got we cannot reproduce, and you're using an older version of Krita. Wait! What? Do you get paid for cases with resolved status or what the heck? Your attitude is invalid. How dare you? Not just that you marked this bug report as resolved but also what you wrote about me. I provided the information as much as I can, why do you say such a things you did? I uploaded and shared with three of you my current Krita settings folders and 2GB work example where it crashes most likely. --My system? You can see it's KDE neon User Edition what is up to date all the time obviously. --My Krita version? It's obvious there is an older version appearing on bug report but you can assume I keep it up to date what I also wrote to you: there where upgrades for Krita. Now it's 4.1.1. --I explained the situation twice and answered all question. Also DO NOT say it's resolved especially after you just wrote you can't solve the problem! Instead modify it to closed, wontfix as "cannot be fixed with a reasonable amount of engineering effort". Is it that hard to be polite just a little bit? Since it's related to free, open source software, the connection between contribution and usage is based on simple trust and respect. Of course I care about if a bug is solved or didn't however I understand both outcome since it's free and open source. I respect your hard work and I understand clear information is necessary however you should see I already wrote and uploaded info what I was able to share. Since there are nobody else to share more info to solve this and what I provided for you is not enough then why don't you just say: sorry we are not able to solve this problem with a single occurrence only or something like that? I use free, open source not just because it's free. Simple I like the idea. If I'll receive reactions like this, I'll use anything but free open source software for sure. It's simple rude what and how you wrote especially if you get paid for your open source work. Just going forward with this narrow-minded attitude if you don't care how popular the software you work for. I'm glad this problem occurred on my system only, I mean there is nobody else with this issue seemingly. You won, now I think 10 times more if I’d report any bug. You do whatever you want, you can lie but the right way is to close this case, I mean do not mark this case as resolved and also give wontfix for status because that's the outcome nothing else. Keep up the good work, Andras -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

However this case is NOT solved that's for sure. Then why do you say it's solved? You wrote you close this case then close it but don't mark it as resolved because that's a big fat lie. Also why do you mark it as invalid, the information I provided is invalid on your system but not on my system. Go ahead and close my account and you'll convince one more people to use Windows and Adobe Photoshop instead. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

This is what you mentioned above Rog131? Is smth a widely known acronym, what's that mean? For me, it is still not work anyway on three different phone. [frameworks-knewstuff] [Bug 399981] Discover: Both "check for updates" and "update all" buttons are disabled even when updates are available
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399981 --- Comment #37 from Andras --- (In reply to lega99 from comment #36) > I do not have libkf5newstuff I have libkf5newstuff-dev and it's not > installed. It's already fixed, you don't have to assume anything and additional packages won't be necessary to install. Report back after KDE Frameworks 5.54 arrives on your system and your plasma-discovery still won't work regarding to this bug. Its release expected around January 12th, 2019 (now I'm assuming :) that 2018 is a typo on frameworks schedules page): https://community.kde.org/Schedules/Frameworks -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Don't be rude, it's not that paid service even if you're donating. Yes, these systems also works only if users are satisfied however you shouldn't use here such a wording above because there is a lot developers who works for free after they working hours. Anyways it's a bug tracking system not a service for claims. Still won't work, report, done. Yes, plasma-discover still doesn't work under 5.54 KDE Frameworks. I tried to reinstall it and since then, it crashes every time I try to open it. I place the result for that crash here if it helps with this bug maybe. Let me know if I should open a new case for that, thanks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[krita] [Bug 401911] Krita crashes after grouping masks converted from layers
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401911 --- Comment #5 from Andras --- (In reply to mvowada from comment #4) There are several changes since then: Krita 4.1.7.101 Qt Version: 5.11.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.54.0 Kernel Version: 4.15.0-43-generic Distribution: KDE neon User Edition 5.14 Thank you so much for your time and effort. I should have describe it more simple: 1) group 1 or two layer 2) create two new layer inside the group above and and convert this two new layer to any type of filter mask 3) try to group the filter masks above Anyways, now with this Krita version on the also upgraded system yes, making group is still appears as option also for Filter Masks converted from layer inside a group but it won't work so there is no crash anymore. It seems grouping standalone Filter Masks had been disabled what's solved this bug. Thank you so much again and although it's late, I wish a happy new year for you and for Krita team! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
