In my case, I have an external touchscreen connected to a laptop, both screens are 1920x1080. Laptop: Thinkpad T470s (Mesa Intel HD 620) Touchscreen HID device: ILI Multi-Touch-V3000 (USB 222A:004D) on Inknoe Lite Touchscreen display device: reports as unknown in info center The touchscreen maps to the laptop internal display when it should map to the external display. An added complication that can mess up the heuristic is that the display output connects through HDMI while the touch device connects through a separate USB port (this is a rather old device) so going by EDID may not always work. Today, it happened again. Yesterday night I was working in another video. I tried to resume the work this morning and the .kdelive file was nowehere to be found. But know I am completely sure I didn't delete it. When I try to enable vaapi acceleration, it says it is not available. Installing Kdenlive via flatpak or .deb allows me to enable vaapi in the same PC. Not having vaapi acceleration in kdenlive is a really big handicap of the snap version. As an example, obs-studio snap can access vaapi both for encoding and decoding. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install kdenlive via snap 2. Try to enable vaapi OBSERVED RESULT Kdenlive says vaapi is not available. EXPECTED RESULT Vaapi is enabled and works.
