[kdenlive] [Bug 500491] Audio playback drops randomly when dragging clips to the timeline.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=500491 Jarno van der Kolk changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ja...@jarno.ca --- Comment #1 from Jarno van der Kolk --- Apologies if this is a different bug but it sounds very similar to what I am experiencing so I believe it may be caused by the same thing. Every month, I load all video clips from my bike camera into Kdenlive (~10 hours worth) and play each one at 10x speed to search for notable events. The audio playback sometimes drops when I switch from previewing one clip to the next. I've been keeping an eye on the playback device for applications in the Plasma volume widget and I notice it switches to "no applications playing or recording sound" when this happens. Like Daryl, only a restart of Kdenlive fixes this. I think the action of simply selecting a clip (like I do when previewing and what Daryl does when dragging/dropping) sometimes causes the playback device to drop and Kdenlive seems unable to recover from that. In fact, I can reproduce this by loading a project with a few video clips and rapidly selecting one and then the other several times. I am also on Arch Linux with Kdenlive 24.12.2. >From the log on the console: SETTING AUDIO DATA IN MONITOR NOT EMPTY!!! == OPENING CLIP: "20250207_123212.MOV" TRACK NOT IN TARGET : 3 = QList() TRACK NOT IN TARGET : 3 = QList(3) MLT: "[consumer sdl2_audio ] SDL failed to open audio" ACTION: "&My Custom job" = "custom;" COMPARING ACTIONTYPE: "" = ClipType::AV ACTION: "&Automatische splitsing van scene…" = "scenesplit;v" COMPARING ACTIONTYPE: "v" = ClipType::AV ACTION: "&Stabiliseren" = "stabilize;v" COMPARING ACTIONTYPE: "v" = ClipType::AV ACTION: "&Clip dupliceren met een verandering van snelheid…" = "timewarp;av" COMPARING ACTIONTYPE: "av" = ClipType::AV ACTION: "C&liptaken configureren…" = "" COMPARING ACTIONTYPE: "" = ClipType::AV === The important thing here being (I think!): MLT: "[consumer sdl2_audio ] SDL failed to open audio" -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Spectacle] [Bug 500543] Spectacle shows wrong cursor when resizing screenshot / screencast region
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=500543 --- Comment #5 from Eamonn Rea --- In further testing, the cursor appears until the region is at such a size that the little "knobs" on the edges and corners of the region actually display properly - they display incorrectly if the region is at a small size, where they are offset by a noticeable amount in the opposite direction that they should display on. It is as if there is a thick box drawn around the region, and the "knobs" display as though they are attached to that. I have taken pictures on my phone of both this phenomenon, and the main issue described in the ticket of the hand icon appearing. The images were taken on a 1920x1080 display. Note that the region size in pixels should be ignored from the screenshot, as noted it is not accurate on Spectacle when you have a scaled display anywhere in the setup (Bug 483155). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

And there is a hidden way to reset the region, but I'm not sure if it's by design. 1. It would be nice to have an explicit button to select fullscreen. 2. Another obvious way is to manually drag from one corner to the other, but currently it results in a region one-pixel smaller than fullscreen. 3. Currently, right-clicking anywhere would reset the region. But this is unintuitive. [kwin] [Bug 459973] Touch mode on convertible laptop gets activated even when there is an USB keyboard & mouse attached
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=459973 --- Comment #4 from wincak --- A related problem has been recently discussed in another bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=500025 It seems that the current algorithm KWin uses for automatic switching could be improved. To block switching to touch mode when an external keyboard/mouse is connected is possible. Just make a list of input devices to ignore. If any other input device presenting itself as keyboard/mouse is detected, do not switch to touch mode. [kwin] [Bug 500837] Wayland Night Color Mode causes Color Issues (notably on dark areas)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=500837 Some Reporter changed: What|Removed |Added CC||al...@tuta.io --- Comment #4 from Some Reporter --- Fedora 41, Plasma 6.3.2, Wayland same thing. Thinkpad T480 (Intel UHD 620) There are related issues with night light like #500036 and #499103 but it does get worse on fullscreen rendered/accelerated apps. Games have very blocky shadows like the gamma is very aggressive (low for dark areas), and it's also visible on videos. When I play a video in mpv, smplayer or vlc, it's already affected when not fullscreen. But switching to fullscreen makes it much worse, shadows get completely clipped. Strangely enough, when I move or click the mouse (even if it doesn't cause the UI to show), the worse variant disappears for a few seconds and then comes back. Btw it doesn't happen in Gnome/Wayland with their implementation of night light. Can't say for X11 since I can't launch Plasma with it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwin] [Bug 500036] HDR + Night Light combination results in pink tinge to applications and shadows
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=500036 Roger changed: What|Removed |Added CC||kdeb...@foto-alex.com --- Comment #19 from Roger --- Having this issue on Fedora 41, Plasma 6.3.2. Thinkpad T480 (Intel UHD620), no ICC, no HDR. It's just the night color makes everything look odd, especially the dark areas are pink and clumped together, the rest is more washed out, even on stuff like web sites. It's like the gamma is way too aggressive. This may be also because my laptop screen is crap, but I didn't have this problem before the last update. Night light is set to 3200K at night (right now, it's worse) and 5000K at day. Also #500837 and #499103 related, because it's worse in 3D full-screen apps. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Yes, I also noticed that after this change has landed. Now, when you delete a file or multiple files, the adjacent file is explicitly selected, and you might accidentally delete it, which is quite dangerous. [plasmashell] [Bug 498771] Screen brightness increases dramatically after setting suspend session time in System Settings -> Power Management
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=498771 --- Comment #20 from reports_go_brrr --- For me with Nvidia GPU and 2010s display monitor it worked fine. After Plasma 6.3.2 this setting disappeared. [kwin] [Bug 500584] Submenus appear misplaced with wayland
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=500584 --- Comment #10 from Sergio --- Update: some more tests have been carried out by a LibO user/developer that is on debian testing. The issue of LibO menus getting a window title when on the Qt5 or kf5 VCL is not present in debian testing even on Plasma6 and in other window managers. Looking into this would be precious since even if plasma has migrated to Qt6, there is still a huge amount of software that is Qt5. Libreoffice itself is trying to move to Qt6 for its Qt VCLs, but its official upstream binaries are still Qt5 only. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
