[dolphin] [Bug 482345] Certain characters in file name completely break Dolphin's text rendering across multiple lines
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=482345 Adam Fontenot changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME --- Comment #3 from Adam Fontenot --- This appears to be an issue with the fallback font used, which was Minion Math v1.026. Looking at the font metrics in FontForge, it seems the OS/2 line height is something absurd. Apparently, when Qt renders a text string that includes fallback fonts, it changes the line height to be the maximum line height of any font used in the string. Gtk appears to clip to whatever line height is used by the default font for the text string (though I haven't tested this closely). Note that the size of the glyph was a complete red herring in this case. This definitely isn't a Dolphin specific issue, and I'm not sure it's really any issue with Qt either. [kid3] [Bug 499812] Feature request: Edit chapters via the CLI
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=499812 --- Comment #3 from Urs Fleisch --- That was actually an easy one, only two lines had to be fixed. Now you can get existing chapters from an ID3v2 tag as an LRC file with kid3-cli -c "get Chapters:/path/to/file.lrc" /path/to/file.mp3 The LRC file can be edited and the chapters can be set using kid3-cli -c "set Chapters:/path/to/file.lrc ''" /path/to/file.mp3 The same works also with MP4 tags when the Mp4v2Metadata plugin is used. I hope that this solution is enough. I would then probably invest my time rather in implementing MP4 chapter support for TagLib than in enhancing the CLI with fancy chapter commands. [plasmashell] [Bug 500184] New: Bluetooth-Headset issue after sleep
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=500184 Bug ID: 500184 Summary: Bluetooth-Headset issue after sleep Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: master Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Audio in general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: inko-gn...@tutanota.com CC: isma...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY The Bluetooth-Headset works well when the laptop is booted freshly (even when switch on/off the Headset (or even the compleate BT) several times). BUT when the laptop is send to sleep and then woke up, the Headset connects without any issue, but when I start a video in the Browser or in VLC the sound works for about 5 sec then has one sec interruption (while the video goes on) and then its again hearable for the next 5 sec. This behavior can be only solved with a restart - I tried to switch off/on the Bluetooth, remove the Headset from the Bluetooth-Setting and finally logout from the active session, just the compleate restart solved the issue… STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Fresh boot to the system, activate BT and connect the Headset works well -> Video's plays normally and the sound is also normally played in the Headset. 2. Put the laptop to sleep while all applications are "running" (doesnt matter if this sleep is just for testing about 30 secs or (my normal expected usage) to put it to sleep for overnight (that I can activate the whole laptop in the morning, where I put it to sleep in the afternoon). 3. Wake up the laptop, connect the Headset and start a video - it will have this 5/1 sec-lag in the audio… (normally I use Brave and video's from YT, but for testing I downloaded also a small video and tested it with VLC with the same result) OBSERVED RESULT After wake up from sleep, in the audio of the video-playback on the BT Headset, after (about 5 sec) of correct playback there is a (around) 1 sec pause in the audio, then it "starts" the next 5/1-circle. EXPECTED RESULT Constant audio-playback, as it works when I boot/restart the laptop. I run a number of self-hosted services on localhost, and accessing them from the widget is annoying, since cookies get cleared on every logout. Locally run services often need login credentials for their web UIs. [plasmashell] [Bug 499912] Glitches when hovering the mouse over system tray icons
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=499912 cwo changed: What|Removed |Added CC||cwo@posteo.net --- Comment #3 from cwo --- The other glitches seem to be from the tooltip changing size - the larger contents are pushed up (or in my testing sometimes down), before the tooltip dialog itself grows, and then things snap into the correct place. This can get rendered in the meantime, so you get unpleasant jumps. Not sure how to best fix this. The specific weirdness with the color picker should be taken care of with the above MR. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 499893] No fingerprint auth option when laptop wakes from sleep
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=499893 --- Comment #7 from chws...@outlook.com --- (In reply to chwshka from comment #4) > I think that I've also made another breakthrough. I noticed that if I wake > the machine from sleep very quickly, the fingerprint authentication option > is still there. Under System Settings > Screen Locking I have the "Delay > before password required" option set to 30 seconds. If I wake the laptop > from sleep before 30 seconds, the fingerprint option is there, but if I wake > the laptop after longer than 30 seconds the fingerprint option is no longer > there. > > I can replicate this behaviour with other time delays for the "Delay before > password required" setting. However setting this to "Never require a > password" simply means that the machine never locks and isn't suitable for > anyone with any security considerations. > > So could this be an issue with my settings under pam.d? I'm a bit lost with > these settings and especially lost when it comes to how they interact with > kscreenlocker Following on from this. I've set the "Delay before password required" setting to "Never require a password". When I wake the computer from sleep I noticed that the "or scan your fingerprint on the reader" message is still there on the lock screen and is functional. If I put my finger to the reader, it unlocks. If I use an incorrect finger, it gives the usual error. Although because the "Never require a password" setting is in effect, I can also just hit any key or move the mouse to unlock. So beyond the fprintd polkit errors that I previously mentioned, this regression seems related to the "Delay before password required" option. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
