[kmymoney] [Bug 418329] Matching transaction incomplete on transfers with scheduled transaction.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418329 --- Comment #4 from Thomas Baumgart --- Created attachment 128271 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=128271&action=edit QIF import file containing a single transfer between two accounts There are two different ways I tested: a) open the .kmy file, import the qif file and accepted the match to the schedule and b) open the .kmy file, enter the overdue schedule, import the qif file. In both cases, the transaction matches. It could well be that your problem is related to the OFX import and how it reports the data to the KMyMoney statement reader which is used by all importers. So I am waiting for an OFX sample showing the problem, maybe using the .kmy file attached here. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 420939] Baloo purge not completing
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420939 --- Comment #6 from Scott --- So I thought I might follow your advice and did the following: 1/ (Window 1) scott@scottlounge:~$ balooctl monitor Waiting for file indexer to start Press Ctrl+C to stop monitoring 2/ (Window 2) scott@scottlounge:~$ balooctl purge Deleted the index database 3/ (Window 2) scott@scottlounge:~$ barlooctl status Command 'barlooctl' not found, did you mean: command 'balooctl' from deb baloo-kf5 (5.68.0-0ubuntu1) Try: sudo apt install 1/ So even this simple process does not work properly because I get error that the command cannot be found. I assume we agree this a bug? 2/ This time I get the expected message from the purge command, "Deleted the index database" and my prompt. 3/ At this point window 1, barloo monitor, reported, Idle. (no errors) 4/ A subsequent running of balooctl purge (a minute or 2 later) gave rise to the same behaviour as in my initial post. I assume that not getting the exact same behaviour each time a command such as this is issued is also a bug? As is not terminating and displaying the prompt? 5/ I also consider it a bug that the purge command despite not terminating then goes on to, I assume, display to the terminal what is being indexed. 6/ A brief spot check showed that indeed thousands of files were not indexed. There appears to be no commonality in what is not indexed as it includes files, sub directories, directories and even entire disks. It may be worth noting that there are only 4 file types comprised in the total of approx 6,000 entries being file types: .ts, .m2ts, .mkv and .avi. So, running monitor does not appear to have achieved anything, perhaps you have another suggestion? In view of this product's troubled history over the best part of a decade, my suggestion would lie somewhere in product testing. The errors are so huge and glaring what detail can any single user give to pinpoint the problem that are not instantly recognisable by anyone with a large(ish) data set? By way of comparison I use another piece of software, Plex, that uses the same data set without issue which would suggest that the data set is not the problem. Then, on top of this, I still can't look at my file manager and see the run time of a bloody movie or see any metadata detail at all from a networked PC. I appreciate that it's a one issue one ticket world so I will leave off on these in this thread. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

After disabling the stand-alone server, I found that ~/.config/akonadi/akonadiserverrc still contained the line Options="UNIX_SOCKET=/var/run/mysql/mysqld.socket" pointing to the main server socket. Clearing this up, everything seems to end up in the akonadi-version of mysql (with the above warnings/errors, not sure what that means). I am unsure, why some of the data still went to the akonadi-version of mysql, though. >From my point of view, I seem to have had some mess in the config files as I have been dragging/upgrading my /home/ directory with me since 1997 (and yes, I have been using KDE ever since the original beta1) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kate] [Bug 403956] Save new file does not default to same folder as open txt file
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403956 Valdo changed: What|Removed |Added CC||gnu4e...@netc.eu --- Comment #3 from Valdo --- To complete jg's request, I also have "complaints" to share regarding Kate's default save directory: 1. Why not offer a "Default Save Directory" option users could customize to their will? I totally share jg's opinion: it can be a real pain having to start from the home directory (location decided by s.o. else than the user), over and over for each new file to save. For e.g. a major part of my text files are located on a dedicated disk partition. I would like to be offered (for each new file) to save in a given directory on that partition. 2. Why not offer a "Remember Last Save Location" option, that would override the "Default Save Directory" option I suggested at section 1., that users could check (radio button)? Some people prefer to have this kind of default save behaviour. 3. Another (additional) save option could be jg's suggestion: "Remember Last Opened File Directory", that would override options I suggested at sections 1. and 2., that users could check (radio button)? 4. I'm adding another wish, a bit different in nature, but still linked to new file "saving": please _bypass_ the "File Close Confirmation" dialog box, when a) file's _current_ content is empty (whether or not users had added some text at some point in the past) _and_ b) file has never been saved to disk. Explanation: I often use Kate as a _temporary_ text editing tool, to copy/paste/rearrange some text from application A to application B. The new file I created with Kate is not meant to be saved to disk. So once emptied by me, I would like to close this temporary file without having to _confirm_ that it shouldn't be saved to disk. This is for e.g. the default behaviour of Notepad++ (very practical). Please tell me if I should open a new bug (features request) for my suggestions. - If not needed, can we change Kate's version of this bug (403956) to version 19.12.3 (since my suggestions are not implemented in version 19.12.3 - I can't tell for sure about jg's initial suggestion)? And possibly rephrase bug's title to a more generic features request? - If recommended to open a new bug (features request), can KDE team do something about this bug (403956)? I mean, take a position regarding jg's suggestion, to avoid keeping this bug open for too long (as much as possible). Thank you very much for reading, I remain available for any subsequent steps I'd have to take (just tell me). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[lokalize] [Bug 421220] New: Add proofreading mode (similar to the ‘Alternate Translations’ feature)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=421220 Bug ID: 421220 Summary: Add proofreading mode (similar to the ‘Alternate Translations’ feature) Product: lokalize Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: sdepi...@gmail.com Reporter: k...@huftis.org CC: sha...@ukr.net Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I sometimes get sent updated PO files from (new) translators. They can contain new translations and/or improvements to existing translations (‘proofread strings’). Before commiting them to SVN, I need to do some QA, i.e. go through each change and accept, reject or modify it. So it would be nice to have a proofreading mode in Lokalize that can be used for this, for merging the PO files. Basically, I have two files, the original PO file and a new PO file with (exactly or mostly) the same source strings. The feature then needs to work almost *exactly* like the existing ‘Alternate Translations’ feature. The only difference is that the colour diffs shown in the panel should show the difference between the original translation and the updated (e.g. ‘proofread’) translation (instead of between the source/English string and the ‘alternate translation’). The new ‘proofreading files’ can be stored in a separate folder but with the same filenames, just like for the ‘Alternate Translations’ translation. But since the proofreading files are often ‘one-off’ files, it would be nice to be able to drag and drop them to the new proofreading panel. And perhaps there could be an ‘Open File’ button on the panel (since drag and drop is not very discoverable, and not accessible for people who only use the keyboard). The feature could also be used for other purposes. For example, if you have a PO file with common/standardised translations across applications, you could use this as a ‘proofreading file’, to quickly see (and possibly change) the strings which don’t use the ‘standard’ translations. Perhaps a better name than ‘Proofreading’ should be used, but I’m not sure which (‘Alternate Translation’ is a good description, but is already taken). Details: 1. It should work similar to the existing ‘Alternate Translations’ feature. 2. But the diff should be between the original translation and the proofread translation. 3. There should be keyboard shortcut for copying the proofread translation (overwriting the existing translation). 4. There should be keyboard shortcuts for going to the next/previous string where the original translation and the proofread translation differ. 5. And perhaps a new filter in the ‘Translation Unit’ panel for only showing strings where the two translations differ? 6. It should be possible to select/open a proofreading file by clicking ‘Open File’ on the panel or by dragging and dropping a file to the panel. 7. The ‘are the two strings equal’ comparison used in item 2, 4, 5 should ignore any differences in linebreak formatting between the two strings. (Here I’m talking about *automatic* linebreaks that Lokalize and other tools automatically add to PO files when saving/merging, not ‘\n’ or other whitespace, which *are* significant, and *should* be shown in the diff.) 8. Any translations in the proofreading file that don’t have a corresponding (source) string in the original file should simply be ignored. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[lokalize] [Bug 421220] Add proofreading mode (similar to the ‘Alternate Translations’ feature)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=421220 --- Comment #1 from Karl Ove Hufthammer --- Hm. It looks like most if this is already implemented *in* the ‘Alternate Translations’ feature. The ‘Alternate Translations’ panel is a bit confusing, in that it shows several different things: 1. For fuzzy strings with the previous message embedded, it shows the difference between the old source string and the new source strings. 2. For an actual alternate translations (e.g. a translation ‘English → German’ when you’re editing ‘English → French’), it only shows the alternate translation, with no diff. For the feature in this report, it would need to also show a diff between the two translations. Obviously, a diff between a German translation and a French one doesn’t make much sense. So there’s a difference between the case that 1) the target languages are different, where no diff should be shown, and 2) they’re equal or very similar (e.g., British English and Australian English), where a diff *should* be shown. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[okular] [Bug 394775] Annotations in the separated XML files
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394775 --- Comment #16 from ederag --- Good news: an experimental helper script seems to workaround our use case. (there are issues, it's not ready to share yet) It required a two line hack (not satisfying yet) to okular, so that the archive holds the original file, and the annotations in its metadata.xml. The helper is using sha512sum, so the annotations follow file renames. So if okular would keep the ability/option to store annotations in metadata.xml, together with an option to avoid https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397097, then chances are we could all be happy. Why think so ? The reasons for burning things into the pdf were indeed compelling: - confusion on renames, - use cases opposite to ours (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315552) - and security issues with forms data (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=267350) The latter forces to burn the form data into the pdf. So it was decided to burn annotations into as well. Yet there is a strong difference between forms and annotations: one writes *into* a form ("fill a form"), while one *adds* an annotation *onto* a document. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not prying to change the default behavior at all. Just advocating that our use case makes sense as well, and would be a nice option to have. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 421223] New: Issues with adding guides
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=421223 Bug ID: 421223 Summary: Issues with adding guides Product: kdenlive Version: unspecified Platform: unspecified OS: unspecified Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: gangulyabir...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY If you try to render a video, using guide zone, setting "to" as "End", kdenlive will render to the end of the timeline, not the end of the clip. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add a clip to the timeline. 2. Add a guide anywhere in between the clip(let's name this guide "cat"). 3. Now, open the Render window chosse "Guide zone", then choose "from" as "cat" and "to" as "End" 4. "Press render to file" OBSERVED RESULT Notice the rendered file contains the video clip from guide "cat" to the "end of the timeline", i.e., you will see "dark", after the video ends. EXPECTED RESULT The video clip from the guide "cat" to the end of the video. There will be no black/dark after the video ends. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Unspecified ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This happens because "End" literally means the "End of the timeline", not "the end of the video"(though I am not quite sure...) If you do "render whole project", it will smartly trim the video. Why not the same in case of guides? Right now, I have to find the exact point at which the video ends, add a guide there then render accordingly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

When it is then clicked on another track, it isolates the other track only. Instead, in (audio) multitrack editors I know of, it would select _also_ the other track, and would allow to quickly listen to two (or a small number) of tracks together, while silencing the rest.
