[kdeconnect] [Bug 360961] New: Option to limit clipboard text length
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360961 Bug ID: 360961 Summary: Option to limit clipboard text length Product: kdeconnect Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: plasmoid Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: cotko...@gmail.com This is not a bug, more a feature request, I'm writing it here because I don't know where else to put it:) Right now I have clipboard turned off in plasmoid and turn it on only when I need to actually copy something to a phone. This is because I do lots of long text copying and I noticed my computer starting to do weird stuff (not remembering what I copied, cutting off some text, getting slow after copying etc.) and found out this was related to kdeconnect. Since I think it's a bit cumbersome manually switching it on and off, I think It would be awesome if options/settings were added to a clipboard plugin (like there are for run commands and share and receive) where we could set maximum number of characters; for example if you set the max chars to 400 then longer text would always be either cut off or maybe even ignored/not copied at all (maybe there could be radio option to select what user prefers). [kwin] [Bug 360878] ::allowClientActivation should unconditionally return false for unreasonable focus policies
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360878 --- Comment #9 from Thomas Lübking --- The point is that if it was actually kwin that activates the other window (and it should so even if that manages to just fetch the focus itself) a desktop switch alongside that would to be expected. And no: windows on other desktops are not supposed to get the focus (except when passed there client internally, ie. if window "a" on desktop "1" and window "b" on desktop "2" belong to the same application and window "a" has the focus, it might pass it on to window "b", assuming that the client knows best which of its own windows should have the focus, eg. because of some user interaction) This is completely regardless of the focus distribution approach. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kmail2] [Bug 360963] New: Select identity and "From" automatically on reply in dependence of the answered mail.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360963 Bug ID: 360963 Summary: Select identity and "From" automatically on reply in dependence of the answered mail. Product: kmail2 Version: 5.1 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org Reporter: 1...@gmx-topmail.de Kmail allows to configure identities with one mailbox address (mailbox@some.domain) and several aliases (john@some.domain, jane@some.domain, max@totally-different.domain). It even allows wildcards (lists-*@some.domain), what is really great as MTAs can be configured to allow regex or catchall aliases, too (To: john@some.domain, Delivered-To: mailbox@some.domain) Unfortunately kmail ignores everything on replying (or forwarding) a mail. It always selects the identity that is configured in the folder properties and uses always the mailbox address. (I receive a mail at me@some.domain and kmail wants to reply from mailbox@some.domain) I can change the "From" header manually to match the "To" header of the answered mail (from mailbox@some.domain to me@some.domain), but I think the intention of email identities and aliases is to do that automatically. It is even worse if there is a common inbox for different providers, as kmail wants to answer mails to me@some.provider with other-account@different.provider (different identity and totally different address). The latter is a privacy issue as you can easily use the wrong email address. Reproducible: Always Expected Results: Kmail should select the "From" header with the associated identity automatically to match the "To" header of the replied mail. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 25/03/2016 at 12:08. Pushed by dkazakov into branch 'master'. Fix "openGL lag at zoom 2000 + rotation" The problem was not related to the openGL actualy. It was caused by the implementation of QPainter::clipRegion() which generated 20k+ rectangles from a rotated rect when rotation angle was near to a 0 or 90deg. WARNING for the future: Never use QPainter::clipRegion(). Use KisPaintingUtils::safeClipRegion() instead. It workarounds the issue returning a bit bigger rect. But this seems to be not just a simple translation error: In k3b the translation is in k3b/src/k3bemptydiscwaiter.cpp: There are 3 dialogs KMessageBox::warningContinueCancel calls with argument KStandardGuiItem::overwrite() The catalog kdelibs4 has the correct translation: kdelibs4.po-7130-#: kdeui/util/kstandardguiitem.cpp:306 kdelibs4.po:7131:msgid "&Overwrite" kdelibs4.po-7132-msgstr "Ü&berschreiben" But the same string is in the catalog kio4 as well: kio4.po-5907-#: kio/renamedialog.cpp:153 kio4.po:5908:msgid "&Overwrite" kio4.po-5909-msgstr "&Ersetzen" Both msgids have no context xgettext has the first-come-first-serve rule and the catalog kio4 is loaded before the catalog kdelibs4, therefore the translation "&Ersetzen" is used in k3b klocale_kde.cpp:318: m_catalogNames.append(KCatalogName(QString::fromLatin1("kio4"))); klocale_kde.cpp:319: m_catalogNames.append(KCatalogName(QString::fromLatin1("kdelibs4"))); Possible solutions: 1) Change german translation in kio4 for the renamedialog to "Überschreiben", but that has probably side effects, therefore cc'ing the german translations list to discuss the change on list 2) Add context to one or both messages to allow different translations of Overwrite in different contexts No 2) is my preferred solution, because some languages need to distinguish the translation of "Overwrite" -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 360970] New: Slideshow Wallpaper: Interval Seconds persisted as 0, even when Minutes or Hours are greater than 0
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360970 Bug ID: 360970 Summary: Slideshow Wallpaper: Interval Seconds persisted as 0, even when Minutes or Hours are greater than 0 Product: plasmashell Version: 5.5.5 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Image Wallpaper Assignee: notm...@gmail.com Reporter: sonichedgehog_hyperblas...@yahoo.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org A minor inconsistency was introduced in Plasma 5, which I suggest fixing mainly for aesthetical reasons: If you select the Slideshow wallpaper type, you cannot set the Seconds to 0, even if you have Hours or Minutes to a value greater than 0. If you choose OK to exit the menu then open it again, Seconds is always reverted to 1. I realize this was intended so you don't accidentally set the slideshow interval to nothing, which would obviously cause breakage. But the seconds field should only be reverted from 0 to 1 if the hours or minutes fields are also 0! Example: 0 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds is invalid, but 0 hours 15 minutes 0 seconds is valid, and should not be persisted as 0 hours 15 minutes 1 seconds. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right click your desktop and select Desktop Settings. 2. Set the wallpaper type to Slideshow. 3. For the interval, set hours or minutes to any value greater than 0 (either just one of them or both) but leave seconds at 0. 4. Click the OK button to confirm and close the Desktop Settings window. 5. Repeat step 1 and open Desktop Settings back up. Actual Results: The seconds field has now become 1. Expected Results: As long as the hours or minutes fields are greater than 0, the seconds field should be left at 0. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
