[krita] [Bug 358198] New: wow amazing work unfortunately alot has gone wrong
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358198 Bug ID: 358198 Summary: wow amazing work unfortunately alot has gone wrong Product: krita Version: unspecified Platform: MS Windows OS: MS Windows Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: usability Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: mradamea...@gmail.com System: I am using Windows 7 and Krita is used on my cintiq 32 gigs of ram I have test this on three other computers and the same result Just a few things have gone wonky testing before and after restart my computer 1. Themes click on dark and it turns light 2. Dockers: clicking the X icon wont shut them down they need to be done through menu 3. Configure tool bar: - little arrow lighting up has disappeared - Hide names feature for icons has disappeared (hopefully for the better and the be replaced with a check mark next to the icon. 4. hot keys F5 and F6 dont open the brush and or library anymore 5.Layer are not selectable sometimes when creating a vector layer 6. Icons some dock menus don't click or select and have lost functionality 7.Export animation auotselects ramdom file that you hovers over and the starts exporting 8. Interface randomly locks up 9. Right Clicking on the too bar doesn't bring up configure tool bar (this may not be a bug) 10. When tagging brushes the text is to light in colour Great work: Congradulations on making the interface cleaner looking and one more step closer to being easier to look at. You have come along way. just on layer though: these icons need to be either simplified or made slightly larger and more space given between each icon and the layer details text looks squashed. also i would get rid of the stylised "Close X icon" for documents. Personally to me it cheapens the elegant feel and look/ design that Krita is finally starting to get. We want artist to focus on what they want to create and not be influenced by the UI so minimal UI best. Final notes: wow seriously freakn amazing work I can't wait till krita gains such features as 1. Import and export audio so you can animate to lipsync 2. "Export to H264, .mov, .avi, googles new codec, .BPG .wav, mp3 3. "animation library system" for reusable assets 5. "Selected area timeline playback" for quickly testing small part of an animation 6. "Fill across frames" this would be amazing, but i think it might be very difficult with raster art. 7. "Vector brush" similar to that of Adobe illustrator "blob brush" this would be amazing if could utilise some feature in the brush engine like scatter and pressure. Equall there would need to be a vector Eraser to match https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bhltsqSp_0 8. Audio record feature for taking audio notes on animation as part of a review feature. 9. Save hot key map without having to into the backend of Krita 10. Save workspace without having to into the backend of Krita 11. Save Brushes out without having to into the backend of Krita Well done guys amazing work i have been telling loads of people about krita and am trying to get as many animators using it as possible. You guys are bloody rockstars and if any of you are in Sydney Australia i am buying you beers. Thanks guys your amazing Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: To much to explain but please feel free to get in contact with via google hangouts Actual Results: unuseable Expected Results: doesn't work efficiently hm its kinda like krita is building up this memory in the background and then it becomes to much for the software so it starts miss behaving a quick restart of the application kind of fixes it -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 358202] New: kwin often stops partially working (Function not implemented)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358202 Bug ID: 358202 Summary: kwin often stops partially working (Function not implemented) Product: kwin Version: 5.5.3 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: backend-x11 Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: softw...@moritz-augustin.de Created attachment 96727 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=96727&action=edit output of strace kwin_x11 --replace (at time of the problem and afterwards) I have just switched to Plasma 5 (using Arch Linux packages) and SDDM (from previously running KDE4). A severe problem for me is the following: a few times a day KWin stops working properly with errors "Function not implemented" visible in the strace output (see Screenshots). The effective problem for me as the user is that in such a situation (a) copy&paste of both text and files is broken, (b) moving windows by holding left-click on the window titles does not work anymore and (c) the menus in Firefox cannot be clicked on/nor opened with the keyboard combinations anymore. I cannot reproduce the problem by a particular action but observe it very often (too often in my production environment). I am using Arch Linux with relevant packages kwin 5.5.3-1 and nvidia 358.16-3, i.e., the proprietary NVIDIA driver for my GF119 GPU, also known as GeForce GT 610. The issue can be basically repaired by restarting kwin with the command kwin_x11 --replace. [kwin] [Bug 358202] kwin often stops partially working (Function not implemented)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358202 Thomas Lübking changed: What|Removed |Added Component|backend-x11 |general --- Comment #1 from Thomas Lübking --- bug #353428 ? If you had actual ENOSYS for the listed functions, your entire installation would be completely fubar, but this is likely due to a segfault. Do not run kwin (or anything) in strace on a regular base, though. If this is bug #353428, we'd need to resolve the actual crash, what means to figure what crashes at all - ie. get a backtrace, either via drkonqi or by attaching gdb to the stopped process. > copy/paste seems to be broken kwin has no deal in this. [kwin] [Bug 358202] kwin often stops partially working (Function not implemented)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358202 --- Comment #2 from Moritz Augustin --- I do not think this is bug #353428. I have no drkonqi process open at all and kwin seems not to crash completely (e.g. I can still maximize/tile windows/move them to other virtual desktops using my hotkeys; or is this not kwin's reponsibility?). How can I provide more information? Do I understand you correctly that you think there is a segfault in some (non-kwin) process which propagates to kwin such that kwin itself gets confused and shows these "Function not implemented" signatures in the strace output? If you had more ideas what I could to I would be glad to follow those suggestions. Actually I am using clusterssh (arch package 4.04-1) but I observed the problem also without having open that program. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[okular] [Bug 356359] Can't open documents with non-ascii filenames
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356359 Eugene Shalygin changed: What|Removed |Added CC||eugene.shalygin+bugzilla.kd ||e...@gmail.com --- Comment #12 from Eugene Shalygin --- I have very same problem on two machines. Both have complex locale settings. The first one runs Gentoo and the second one runs ArchLinux. Locale settings are identical: $ cat /etc/locale.conf LANG=uk_UA.UTF-8 LC_NUMERIC=C LC_COLLATE=C LC_MONETARY=en_IE.UTF-8@euro LC_MESSAGES=C LC_ADDRESS=de_DE.UTF-8 LC_TELEPHONE=de_DE.UTF-8 LC_PAPER=de_DE.UTF-8 Once I enable "Detailed Settings" in the Formats KCM, Okular is unable to open files with non ASCII characters in names. However, I do not think that this is problem of Okular, since LibreOffice shows the same problem (can't open nor via kde-open nor via its File|Open menu). The only difference is that in error messages where they inform user about the problem Libre Office shows correct file name, while Okular shows characters in encoding which I can't even guess instead of non-ASCII letters. So, I think Formats KCM does something wrong to locale settings. When I set there my settings from /etc/locale.conf, locale shows: $ locale locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory LANG=uk_UA.UTF-8 LC_CTYPE="uk_UA.UTF-8" LC_NUMERIC=C LC_TIME="uk_UA.UTF-8" LC_COLLATE=C LC_MONETARY=en_IE.UTF-8 LC_MESSAGES=C LC_PAPER=de_DE.UTF-8 LC_NAME="uk_UA.UTF-8" LC_ADDRESS=de_DE.UTF-8 LC_TELEPHONE=de_DE.UTF-8 LC_MEASUREMENT="uk_UA.UTF-8" LC_IDENTIFICATION="uk_UA.UTF-8" LC_ALL= -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[KScreen] [Bug 346961] Multi Monitor configuration lost on reboot, must reconfigure after startup
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=346961 Ferry changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ft...@telfort.nl --- Comment #33 from Ferry --- I have the same problem as Gene in comment #24: After updating Kubuntu Backports today (to KDE 5.5.3) I have: - my normal screen on the left - black screen on the right - cannot right click on the right screen - I was able to move a task bar to the right screen, coming from the left - I always had the task bar only show the applications on it's own screen, this doesn't seem to work any more. I looks like the applications don't know on which screen they are. Turning off this filter on both the left and right task bar shows all applications on both bars. - on the right screen I cannot add any other widgets (cannot right click, also there is not the little icon on the top left, also can not create on the left screen and then move to the right as it blocks at the screen edge) This is a regression of course. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
