Re: [JPP-Devel] Cadplan Printer plugin kills my computer
Hi, I will make more tests next week and send test data for you if problem is still present. And of course I will make another test with printer installed. Actually I have printers installed on this computer, but only network printers which I cannot connect with right now. Anyway, if the reason is missing printer then I would prefer seeing some error message instead of system jam. -Jukka- -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] on behalf of Geoffrey G Roy Sent: Sat 22.9.2007 3:28 To: List for discussion of JPP development and use. Re: [JPP-Devel] @ Sefan - Upgrade OJ 1.2D to 1.2E? Future developments?
HI Peppe, One comment about including a version bundled with a JVM. The point of doing this, IMO is to give first time users a good tryout experience. Millions of open source software applications are downloaded each day on the web, but only a few thousand are not immediately removed. This is caused by many things, but one of the most important and easily overlooked, is the lack of a good and foolproof install process. Including the JVM with SkhJUMP has been a crucial factor in getting a trouble free install 99% of the time. For users that have never loaded a JVM before and aren't familiar with Java, it is extremely important. regards, Larry On 9/21/07, Giuseppe Aruta <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > --- Stefan Steiniger <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ha scritto: > > Hi Stefan, > > > > I would rather like to move to OpenJUMP 1.3. > > > > But before doing so we need to make some smaller > > fix, for instance get a > > complete translation for all languages. Dear Jukka So we can get to the bottom of this, could you send me a copy of the model files that cause the problem.
