[JIRA] [sounds] (JENKINS-13825) Sounds plugin configuration "System command" is empty
Hua Zhang commented on JENKINS-13825 Sounds plugin configuration "System command" is empty I personally think auto-sense is a little bit better than Hudson.getVersion(). [JIRA] [other] (JENKINS-18104) Daily HTTP traffic problem on network
Ken Van Hoeylandt created JENKINS-18104 Daily HTTP traffic problem on network Issue Type: Bug Assignee: Unassigned Components: other Created: 28/May/13 7:49 AM Description: Whenever we turn on Jenkins on our build server at work, every day in the morning (when people arrive) HTTP traffic on our internet connection seems to be broken. When we turn off Tomcat (which only runs the admin war and Jenkins), we don't have the problem. When our HTTP traffic is broken, data in- or out-bound on port 80 and 443 fails most of the time (but not always). Other data comes through just fine (e.g. email, SSH). We ran a software package on the server to see the active connections on that machine, but we couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. Whenever our internet is broken, the only way to fix it is to restart our modem. We tried installing a newer Fritz!Box, but it didn't solve the problem. I have Googled this issue, but I didn't get any closer to finding a possible cause (let alone a solution) to this problem. Situation: We have a LAN where our build machine is placed in. This build machine is only accessible from the LAN itself. The LAN is connected to the internet through a switch and then to a Fritz!Box modem/router. Other devices connect to the LAN (and the build machine) through cable or WiFi. [JIRA] [build-publisher] (JENKINS-18105) Views are not updated when builds are published
Ian Hinder created JENKINS-18105 Views are not updated when builds are published Issue Type: Bug Affects Versions: current Assignee: vjuranek Components: build-publisher Created: 28/May/13 8:40 AM Description: When a build is published from a private Jenkins to a public Jenkins, the status of the build (including last build time) is not reflected in the Jenkins job View on the public instance. This is a known issue reported on the plugin page (https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Build+Publisher+Plugin) "Views don't get synchronized automatically" but I didn't find an Issue for this. I am trying to use this plugin to aggregate the results of builds from multiple private Jenkins instances to a single public Jenkins instance, so being unable to see an overview of the status of each of these builds is a serious deficiency. Is there a workaround, for example another way to see the up-to-date status of all the published builds, or a way to manually update the view? Is there a technical reason why fixing this is difficult, or has it just not been implemented due to lack of resources/priority? [JIRA] [email-ext] (JENKINS-17675) Allow the Pre-send script to be a file or call a scriptler script
Alex Earl commented on JENKINS-17675 Allow the Pre-send script to be a file or call a scriptler script The easiest way is with the SCRIPT token, you can do the following ${SCRIPT, script="scriptname.groovy"}, where scriptname.groovy resides in $JENKINS_HOME/email-templates. The Scriptler plugin also recently added a token macro that you can use in the email-ext plugin. This message is automatically generated by JIRA. William Bernardet commented on JENKINS-16800 When including publishers from another job, the link to the report is not added I've been currently facing similar issue with the warnings plugin, which is not showing the trend graph when called from a template. The issue is that ProxyBuilder and ProxyPublisher are not implementing getProjectActions, which is used to contribute transient action to the project. [JIRA] [discard-old-build] (JENKINS-18111) Discard old builds: links first build to 404 error
Martin d'Anjou created JENKINS-18111 Discard old builds: links first build to 404 error Issue Type: Bug Assignee: nkns165 Attachments: discard-old-builds.png Components: discard-old-build Created: 28/May/13 12:32 PM Description: Discard old builds was activated on my installation a few moments ago with this configuration: Days to keep builds: 60 Max # of builds to keep: 40 Strangely, it kept builds 1, 325, 326, 327, ..., 359 (total of 35 builds). The bug is that Build 1 (built on Mar 28, so more than 60 days old by May 28) was removed from the file system but it is still showing up in the build history and it links to a 404 error page. It is very unfortunate that I did not keep a picture of the build history before I enabled "discard old builds", because I think there is a second bug lurking in there: it should have kept 5 more builds between builds 2 and build 324 (if they were within the 60 days). Does Jenkins keep a list of what it deleted and why in its logs somewhere? I hope the "discard old build" feature never assumes to find a successful build because some jobs take several hundred builds before hitting a successful one, and some jobs never succeed because in large installations. Large installation with thousands of tests, there is always something going wrong somewhere to make the build fail (example: 1999 tests pass, and one test fails due to a glitch somewhere, and consequently the build fails). I'm not sure where you determine that it uses the -C flag? It works in plugin version 1.6 but not in v2.8. Is there a different flag used in the different versions, or just a different implementation of how that flag works? [JIRA] [jobgenerator] (JENKINS-18115) Allow StringParameterValue to be cast to GeneratorKeyValueParameterValue
Chris Bush created JENKINS-18115 Allow StringParameterValue to be cast to GeneratorKeyValueParameterValue Issue Type: Improvement Assignee: Unassigned Components: jobgenerator Created: 28/May/13 3:18 PM Description: It would be nice if the file parameter factory feature from the parameterized/triggered build plugin could be used with the job generator. Currently, the files are iterated over and the parameters are read in as hudson.model.StringParameterValue which cannot be cast to an org.jenkinsci.plugins.jobgenerator.parameters.GeneratorKeyValueParameterValue. A ClassCastException is thrown. This feature would be very useful to allow for a job which runs a batch of job generator jobs. [JIRA] [core] (JENKINS-18119) table.sortable may be null in a ProgressiveRendering callback
Jesse Glick created JENKINS-18119 table.sortable may be null in a ProgressiveRendering callback Issue Type: Bug Assignee: Unassigned Components: core Created: 28/May/13 4:39 PM Description: Turn Jenkins security on and create a single user and log in. Now start reloading /asynchPeople over and over. Sometimes it is fine; other times the progress bar is broken and the browser console shows an error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'refresh' of undefined @localhost:78 display @localhost:78 checkNews @progressiveRendering.js:29 The TABLE.sortable rule defined the sortable property on a table, yet this might be after the first rendering callback, if that is quick enough. https://github.com/jenkinsci/jenkins/commit/8bcc07326d26ad4f2e9b826d2b05a67e97acd3e5#L0L183 seems to have caused this regression. Previously, it was guaranteed that ts_refresh was defined, and if ts_makeSortable had not been called, then no real harm was done. [JIRA] [core] (JENKINS-9258) "Remember me on this computer", still getting asked to log in after a few hours
Glen Little commented on JENKINS-9258 "Remember me on this computer", still getting asked to log in after a few hours Yes, I'm running it on Windows. FWIW, my Jenkins is at 1.516 and the Active Directory plug-in at 1.33. If I do not turn on "ENABLE AUTO REFRESH", then I have to log in frequently throughout the day. With auto refresh turned on, my session is extended all day. Is there a setting in the Jenkins "web server" that would simply create JSESSIONID cookies that last longer? That would alleviate the problem. The cookie is set to expire after the "Session" but the server must decide otherwise. This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
