Thanks! As I mentioned in the first mail, I did try
"ding-requ...@gnus.org" as well as "ding-announce-requ...@gnus.org", and
received no reply since. And it looks like majordomo doesn't respond
either.

It looks as though you might want to specify
"ding-requ...@gnus.org" rather than "d...@gnus.org"

See https://www.gnus.org/resources.html

"Discussions about Gnus development takes place on the ding
mailing list. It's a mid-volume list (10-30 messages per
day) and is open for anyone interested. To subscribe, send
a message to ding-requ...@gnus.org to subscribe. The address
of the mailing list itself if d...@gnus.org."

how can I make a web group?

2025-03-12 Thread gfp

Hi,

I want e.g. news from a website:
https://musescore.org/en/forum/4492

How can I create that?

1.
If I do a "G w"
it asks me for a search pattern
I don´t know what to enter.

2.
If I do a "G m"
select method for new group:
nnweb:https://musescore.org/en/forum/4492
then I get a new group
but in opening it it says:
couldn´t activate group nnweb:Musescore: No matching articles

what is my mistake?

3.
What else can I do to create a group from a website
which has no rss feed?

thanks

Gottfried

2025-03-12 Thread Adam Sjøgren
I sent an email to the majordomo address with "help" in the subject
and body of the email, and got a reply back.

  Just a data point,

Confirmed. I tried several variations of email messages to
ding-requ...@gnus.org and got no response.

1. Subject: subscribe

2. Subject: subscribe
   "subscribe" in message body

3. Subject: subscribe
   "help" in message body
