Okay, that's totally reasonable.

No no, that's not what I had in mind! No links!

I was thinking something like this (compose window):

++
|  |   <-- Fields and email options
|  |
++
|  |
|  |   <-- Text body
|  |
|  |
|  |
++
|  |
|  |  <-- Non-editable displaying
signature

++

The scrolling of text body would not be affected by the underneath
signature frame.

Also, when the user changes the identity, the signature non-editable
frame would be updated.

This is pretty much what I would suggest for a read-only signature
display too. The signature section could additionally be toggleable
(and hidden by default) to not waste the spare screen estate of
compose windows.

Does horde have a way of feature requesting and contributing by
undertermined people? For example, you open a ticket and then, after
approval, people (interested in that feature) could start "funding" that
ticket, so developers could get the deserved compensation for
implementing the feature. Maybe one person alone could not/would not
sponsor a feature request, but several persons/companies could/would and
that way everybody can benefit.

Not anymore. We used to have bounties but have dropped because them
because they haven't been a great success in the long term.

I remember the bounties. If I understood them correctly, it was like this:

- - people gave funds as a reward for feature X
- - 3rd party people were encouraged to implement feature X and show the
implementation to the core horde group (before Horde LLC existed).
- - Horde Core would decide if the feature was properly implemented and
pay out the reward.

Now people can ask Horde LLC for an estimate/price tag for feature X
and it's their business to provide the funding. Nothing stops a group
of interested parties from asking for an estimate of the project and
then team up by whatever means to allocate the funds needed.

Re: [imp] Auto-completion for address book not displayed when composing email.

2013-01-23 Thread Bruno Costacurta
However, meantime this bug correction, will it be possible
(difficulty ? duration ?) to retrieve the previous H4 (as far as I
remembered) functionality which gave direct access to the address
book in the composing email window ?

That feature still exists.

From my composing email windows there is no display of the address book,
neither any way to open or access it.

Is there some specific option or configuration (in file prefs.php ?)
to activate the view of address book when composing ?

Thanks.
Bruno
