[imp] IMP Administration
Hi Everyone, I have just recently started doing some IT work for SOSB.com and we are running IMP in house. Can someone point me in the right direction for basic administration of the application? We need to add and remove email accounts, server maintenance, etc. Thank You, -- David A. You will only have access to this if you log in as the administrator or have administration rights attached to your user. I don't have the URL handy (and it will in part depend on how the server was setup - so the easiest way to access it is from the side-bar menu. But as I say, you'll only see that option if you're an administrator. IMP should not run as root - it's a web application. The webserver user (www-data on my system) should be sufficient. Since Horde/IMP is simply a web interface to real componenets (MTA, MDA, etc) perhaps you should scrap the current install and start again? Thanks again for your prompt reply. I am replying all on this so the list
should receive it. Don't know what you mean by top post?
Before I try a re-install of horde and imp, I am going to try to delete the
root password on the server, then set it to another that we know.
Then we are going find the directory in horde that holds user names and
passwords ?

We have access to one user account. So, I edit conf.php to set this user as
'admins' , then restart the web server then this give admin rights to that
user. Then when they log in to IMP, the administration portion should show
up in the browser?
Do you think this will work?

If you want "edit as new" to behave the way you mentioned, you could
manually edit the file imp/compose-dimp.php in line ~ 209 to something
like:

It´s an ugly hack, but at least for me it was the only way to keep
using horde in my company.

[imp] New Message Button?
Hi all, I'm using imp version 5.0.22. I'd love to have a New Message button to the left of the Reply button in my Inbox view. It seems more natural than clicking the link to the left of that (in fact, a Get Email button would be great too). Has anybody made a patch to implement this feature?
