[Harbour] FW: SourceForge site updates
Just for your information: http://sourceforge.net/docs/A04/ ( 2008-03-07 05:25:00 - Project CVS Service, Project Shell Service, Project Subversion (SVN) Service, SourceForge.net Web Site ) On 2008-03-06, during a routine security audit, SourceForge.net staff identified a deficiency in systems data control. We are unaware of any exploitation of this data, which was present in encrypted form. In addition to removing the data, as a preventative measure we have also forced password changes for all SourceForge.net user accounts. ( 2008-03-06 14:23:47 - SourceForge.net Web Site ) In support of improved security, all SourceForge.net user passwords have been expired and must be changed upon next login. CVS, Subversion and Shell users will need to login to the site to change their password before they will be able to access these services. The creators of Windock very kindly sent me a zipped up copy compiled for VC and to repay them I have not done anything with it! As you can imagine, this is on my conscience, so I think I should give it a try. I made good progress with HWGUI but this was with an app that does not use dialogs much, however, I am now loathe to throw at least this small progress out. To M. To Phil Your opinion on the legalities sounds right to me, particularly on the "portions" of GPL code. [Harbour] hbzlib error
Hi, I need to zip / unzip some files and I'm testing hbzlib but I have found a problem under BCC / WinXP (not tested yet in other environments). If I compress simple files it creates a valid zip file, but if I compress even one only exe file (about 600kb of size) the zip is corrupted. Tested either with my prgs than with myzip.prg in harbour/contrib/hbzlib/tests. (running: myzip test.zip myfile.exe ) Anyone experiences this ? I'm using SVN 2008-03-09 18:30 UTC+0100 Lorenzo Fiorini (lorenzo.fiorini/at/gmail.com) TIA Francesco ___ Harbour mailing list Harbour@harbour-project.org http://lists.harbour-project.org/mailman/listinfo/harbour

Inside XHB lib we have very old ZLIB code and if you are linking your application also with this library then mixed functions from original ZLIB and this library may cause problems. Please try to build myzip but eliminate from link script any references to XHB.LIB and check if it's still wrong. For me it works well without any problems. BTW we will have to remove from XHB library hbchksum.c and hbcomprs.c because it can be source for serious problems when other code will need full ZLIB library. best regards, Przemek ___ Harbour mailing list Harbour@harbour-project.org http://lists.harbour-project.org/mailman/listinfo/harbour
