[GNC] Bank Reconciliation Report with Beginning and Ending Balances
I have run the reconciliation report for my checking account; however, it only shows the "funds in" and the "funds out" for the period. I was hoping for a more traditional reconciliation that shows the ending balance that I can agree to my bank statement. If this can be done, how do I do it? [I am using Windows 10 Home, Version 1803; GnuCash Version 3.2, Build ID: 3.2+ (2018-06-24)] My comments are marked as: I searched for an existing string of comments on this matter and did not find any. If it has already been discussed, perhaps you could explain how I could find it on my own. [GNC] Need User friendly guide to importing qfx file
Hello! I am new to GnuCash and attempted my first import of a qfx file from my bank. When I import the file, the "Generic import transaction matcher" is blank/empty. Although I've researched the answers to similar questions, I do not understand the technical answers to them. The closest I came to a solution was from 2014, but I am using version 3.0 uploaded in 2018. Wouldn't that bug be fixed by now? Many of the answers discuss ofx, which I do not think applies to the qfx issue I am having. I am an accounting end user with no experience in programming. Can someone tell me in childlike laymen's terms how to get GnuCash to import a qfx file of my bank's transactions? I am using Windows 10 Home. So far I'm really happy with my conversion from Quicken to GnuCash, so I am determined to make this import work. Thank you for your time. [GNC] No file showing up at "Generic import transaction matcher"
I've tried importing .qfx files from downloads from two different banks: Chase and USAA. No files are showing up on the Generic import transaction matcher, so I am unable to import transactions. Why is GnuCash not importing .qfx files in Version: 3.0. Build ID: git 3.0+ (2018-04-01)? Is there a workaround that needs to be done? [GNC] Account Summary - Accounts List is "backwards"
I am using GnuCash Version: 3.2, Build ID: 3.2+ (2018-06-24) When I open the Account Summary tab through the report menu, the accounts are listed backwards: Expense accounts are listed first, starting at 500 and ending at 700 (the expense accounts are listed in the proper numerical order) Income accounts are listed next, 400s Then Liability accounts are listed, 200s And, finally, Asset accounts, 100s I cannot find how to list the accounts starting with assets (100s) and ending with expenses (500s to 700s). Nor can I find any prior postings for this problem (other than a 2008 patch that I do not know how to run - although, I would think it is outdated).
