[GNC] Mac - gnucash Custom Check Format
tl;dr Where does gnucash keep custom check formats on a Mac? I am switching computers from one Mac to another. Currently running OSX 12.3. I installed gnucash on the original computer and created a custom check based on Quickbook/Quicken 3 checks per page. I’m using Deluxe checks and there’s a few pixel differences. I moved to the new computer. Downloaded and installed the latest greatest, 4.11. Copied the gnucash directory from old to new computer. Everything seems fine, except I can’t find the custom check format I created. Somewhere I read those are kept in /gnucash/scm/… I cannot find that directory sequence in /gnucash, /Library, /Users/xxx/Library. I opened the app package, and didn’t find anything there that looked similar. What did I miss? Is this documented? What is the least painful way to get the custom check format from the previous gnucash installation to my current installation? Re: [GNC] Mac - gnucash Custom Check Format
You should have a: ~/Library/Application Support/GnuCash/checks/ directory. (*note, that is the Library directory under your HOME directory, not the root version at '/Library' or the OS version at '/System/Library'. It is not visible by default, you need to view it explicitly using the 'Go to Folder' option, or use Terminal. There are also instructions online for making it permanently visible if you wish.) The wiki has documentation on the various storage locations used by GnuCash here: https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Configuration_Locations#System-wide Simply copying over the relevant directory should transfer the custom formats. Re: [GNC] Mac - gnucash Custom Check Format
I forgot to caveat that I don't use this feature myself, and haven't attempted to migrate this particular configuration. Someone else more experienced with migrating check configurations specifically might be able to offer any additional tips or steps needed. [GNC] [MAINT] Planned outage to plug into new UPS (Sunday or Monday, time/date TBD)
Hi, A replacement UPS arrived yesterday and I installed it today. I am burning it in (to ensure it will stay on). If I don't see any issues in the next 24 hours I plan to shutdown my equipment and move it over to the UPS tomorrow or Monday. Total down time will be about 15-30 minutes, time for me to shutdown and then time for Ovirt to come back up and bring up all the VMs. -derek -- Derek Atkins 617-623-3745 de...@ihtfp.com www.ihtfp.com Computer and Internet Security Consultant ___ gnucash-user mailing list gnucash-user@gnucash.org To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user If you are using Nabble or Gmane, please see https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Mailing_Lists for more information. - Please remember to CC this list on all your replies. [GNC] Multiple currencies
I am a new gnucash user, living in Cambodia (since 32 years). I downloaded (in Windows 10), installed and tried to set up gnucash with the US$ as the basic currency (which was already set-up as a default). I have not yet set up the accounts. Then I tried to find out how to make it possible to use, in addition, also the Cambodian currency - the Riel - which is used here, alternatively to the US$, every day. The Riel is available as one of the currencies that can be used in gnucash. I spent quite some time reading gnucash documents, but so far without success. I would be most grateful if somebody could help me.
