[GNC] Receivables Ageing report has a type "Balance", which is in error

However, the report shows a "balance" of £25 due from 2018-01-01, but I can find no entries anywhere in the system (searching on client name, on transaction date, on amount) that would generate this balance. Note that the first entry for the customer was 2018-04-01. Could anyone please suggest how a balance may have been created for this customer on 2018-01-01? Re: [GNC] Customer summary report showing addresses
The option is there, but does nothing. Filing a bug report would be in order. This report is looking at Transaction Metadata which might not be searchable. If there is a transaction tied to a Lot that is tied to the customer, that would be sufficient to get it listed. Is there a ₤25.00 transaction in A/R at all? > Thank you > Graham > Please remember to CC this list on all your replies. > You can do this by using Reply-To-List or Reply-All. -derek -- Derek Atkins, SB '93 MIT EE, SM '95 MIT Media Laboratory Member, MIT Student Information Processing Board (SIPB) URL: http://web.mit.edu/warlord/PP-ASEL-IA N1NWH warl...@mit.eduPGP key available ___ gnucash-user mailing list gnucash-user@gnucash.org To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user If you are using Nabble or Gmane, please see https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Mailing_Lists for more information. - Please remember to CC this list on all your replies. Re: [GNC] Fwd: Incorrect Current Value for stock
A potential cause of a strange entry in the price database could be an erroneous transaction that was later corrected. When I manually enter stock transactions, I sometimes make an error. If I have completed the transaction entry, the erroneous information is added to the price database. If I subsequently edit the transaction to correct it, then a new item is added to the price database but the previous incorrect entry is not removed. -Arthur On 10/15/2018 12:25 PM, Gerald Mathias wrote: "Please remember to copy the list on all replies. "Regards, "John Ralls" Oops! I have seen that reminder so many times! Maybe redundant now: Thank you for that. I need to go through Chapter 9, Investments, very carefully. I removed the latest price (user:price, as opposed to user:split-register and Finance::Quote for earlier prices) and got rid of the extra six million dollars but I find lots of mysteries in the Price Database besides just how that crazy price got there in the first place. In four cases "Current Value" and "Buy" figures are rather different, but not shockingly so.Please remember to copy the list on all replies. Regards, John Ralls In the fifth case, I have "Shares 120; Price 100.57; Buy 12,068.40." Then "Current Value: $6,852,000.00." I'm pretty sure that is wrong, but what is causing the error? The current value is the number of shares times the latest price in the price database, so open Tools>Price Database and check the prices for that stock. [GNC] New User: GC 3.3 terminates/won't run on MacOS Sierra
Hi. I'm new to GC and keen to start using it but I haven't been able to get it to run. I've checked earlier questions on this forum but haven't come across this problem. I've installed it (MacOS 10.12.6) and done all the usual app permission stuff. When I try to run it by clicking on the icon it comes up with the "tip of the day" and then bombs out. When I tried to run it from the command line I got the following: (process:1091): gnc.gui-WARNING **: 21:26:18.486: [mac_set_languages()] Language list: en:en_US:C Segmentation fault: 11 Any ideas/experience with this? Thanks! -- Sent from: http://gnucash.1415818.n4.nabble.com/GnuCash-User-f1415819.html ___ gnucash-user mailing list gnucash-user@gnucash.org To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user If you are using Nabble or Gmane, please see https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Mailing_Lists for more information. - Please remember to CC this list on all your replies. It's probably https://bugs.gnucash.org/show_bug.cgi?id=796879. Try putting GnuCash in the Dock as a workaround; there's also a test bundle linked on the bug report that may fix the problem.
