Nice to see this moving forward. I think John's comment about the combo for
parent might be good.
Personally, I think the account name and code would be better placed first; my
opinion is that I have accessed this dialog box to add a new account, and not
its parent. Thus, to me it makes more sense to enter that first, and then
parent info.
This order feels to me like me first asking you your mother's name when I meet
you on the street. It just feels odd.

It also has a label instead of a combo box for commodity.
Since GtkComboBoxes can display tree views as well as list views, how about
making the parent account a combo box too?
