2016-07-03 Thread Fabio Benevenuti

Dear GnuCash developers,

Pleae let me know if there is a main “GnuCash Documentation Team”
coordinator or legal advisor to which I should address this question.

Thanks in advance,

Fabio Benevenuti

Dear members of GnuCash Documentation Team and other Contributors,

I have been using GnuCash since 2007 for personal finances management.
Also, since 2015, I am also a student at a Bachelor of
Accountancy/Accounting Science course.

I am planning to write a small e-book/guide in Portuguese about personal
finances using GnuCash to be published and commercialized electronically
through services such as Lulu (lulu.com), Amazon and other distributors.

In this small e-book/guide I would like to reuse some parts of “GnuCash
Tutorial and Concepts Guide” to be translated to Portuguese.

Your “GnuCash Tutorial and Concepts Guide” is already made available
through GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) which I understand as
allowing use, commercialization and development of derivative works of
your guide.

Notwithstanding the liberties already granted by GFDL, I would like to
clarify with you, copyright holders and contributors, if there is any
restriction regarding the reuse, translation, production of derivative
works of “GnuCash Tutorial and Concepts Guide” and its commercialization.

Also, let me know if there is a main “GnuCash Documentation Team”
coordinator or legal advisor to which I should address this question.

Thanks in advance,

Fabio Benevenuti

The mailing list is the right place to make this contact. I (personally)
have no problems with this, but the other developers should also think
about this and reach some agreement.

Dependency change?

2016-07-03 Thread Wm
Is anyone else finding problems building 2.6.13 that they didn't have with
2.6.12 ? It is entirely possible I've fucked something up locally, of
course.

Wm,

There shouldn't be any significant difference. What error are you getting?

2016-07-03 Thread Chris Lyttle
I agree with John, as long as it keeps with the requirements of the GFDL, which
means the work is available under the same license, I have no objection.
