[PiTiVi] ANNOUNCE: PiTiVi 0.13.9.90 pre-release

Hello,

The whole PiTiVi team is pleased to announce a pre-release of the PiTiVi
video editor.

This pre-release contains the past 7 months of work, implementing this
pretty new feature list:

* Audio and video effects
* Completely redesigned project settings dialog, with the ability to
create presets
* Completely redesigned rendering dialog
* Welcome dialog that helps you start a project or load recent
projects in two clicks
* Ability to preview video, audio and image files before importing
* Add a "best fit" zoom button
* Ability to jump to an exact position in the timeline
* Ability to specify custom aspect ratios and framerates
* Show a progress bar when loading projects
* 300% faster project timeline loading
* Search bar in the Media Library
* Ability to detach all the tabs and the previewer
* New manpage
* Commandline render mode
* Use the standard infobar widget all around

Unless anything critical or regressions pop up, expect the 0.14 release

Sorry about that, I just pushed the patch to master (commit:
034da3df1c4c380bcc64984b58b8a2cc3995f227), you are very welcomed to
start translating this file.

Yes the way we do it is not optimal here.

[PiTiVi] ANNOUNCE: Pitivi unstable release 0.14.1

Hello all,

This mail announces the immediate availability of the new unstable
release of the PiTiVi video editor 0.14.1. This is the result of the
PiTiVi team now following[0] the Gnome release schedule[1].

PiTiVi is an open source video editor, written in Python and based on
GStreamer and GTK+.

Major changes in this unstable release are:
* Removed the libglade dependency
* Move glade, icons and pixmap files to a separate data/ dir
* Reorganized the menus
* UI enhancements
* Code cleanup
* ...

And of course many bugs fixed.

More is coming with the work from the Gsoc students coming up nicely,
and the upcoming Hackfest that will take place during the Desktop
Summit.

Hello all,

This mail announces the immediate availability of the new unstable
release of the PiTiVi video editor 0.14.2. This is the result of the
PiTiVi hackfest[0] we had during the Desktop Summit in Berlin.

PiTiVi is an open source video editor, written in Python and based on
GStreamer and GTK+.

Major changes in this unstable release are:
* Transformation UI directly in the video viewer
* Auto-aligner feature
* User manual in mallard
* Soft dependency manager
* UI enhancements
* Code cleanup
* ...

And of course many bugs fixed.

We are now starting the feature freeze in order to keep following the
Gnome schedule and have a last stable release based on the current
python core of PiTiVi in September. We are now concentrating on the
Gstreamer Editing Services port for the following releases.
