Re: 2000 commits -please commit few more SK translations.
Hallo translation head team! Congratulations and thanks to anyone who contributes. I'd also like to ask You for help. Please, could someone commit my translation improvements? The Slovak (SK) team head and the only listed member Marcel Telka is being very busy last quarter and I'm concerned that he will not be able anytime soon to review and commit the translation improvements I have continually posted here: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&emailreporter1=1&emailtype1=substring&email1=tuharsky I know there is only a week more to the pre-release, so could someone commit the files so that we will not miss the 2.20 term? Re: 2000 commits -please commit few more SK translations.
Hi! Great work! Anyway, as we cannot review your changes as properly nobody of us speaks that language it would be way better if you could a least ask Marcel Telka if you may commit the changes and maybe if you might take over team coordination if he is so short in time. As you already contributed so many translations I don't think it would be a big problem for you to get a svn account. @Marcel: I hope you get this mail in CC! Please comment on the issue ASAP to make it possible to have a nice translation in 2.20! Thanks! Hi! Please CC the list if possible... >> For reference: >> http://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/RequestingAnAccount >> http://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/StartingATeam (last section) The first links shows how to get a SVN account but please be patient until we have some information from Marcel. Re: Pashto - coordinator should be changed!!!
Hello, According to the Pashton scholars and even the ISO 639 the correct spelling should be "Pashto". ISO 639 says "Pashto;Pushto", which means both of them are correct. but the most authentic is "Pashto". Pakhtosoft and all the companies working for Pashto uses the name "Pashto" not "Pushto", so it should be changed. Please change it!!! ISO 639 site: http://xml.coverpages.org/iso639a.html http://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/CoordinationActions says: Team Coordinator changes Team Coordinators want to change email or for changing the coordinator use the same procedure: New coordinator (NEWEMAIL) emails the list gnome-i18n@gnome.org about him taking over, CCing old coordinator (OLDEMAIL) Current coordinator emails requesting a change from old email address (OLDEMAIL) to new email address (NEWEMAIL) Email (privately!) OLDEMAIL with a special token requiring response to confirm change of coordinator/email to NEWEMAIL After receiving confirmation from OLDEMAIL with the special token, ACCEPT the change of coordinator/email (if you don't receive it, or receive a negative response from OLDEMAIL, then do not accept the change) If the change was accepted, follow instructions in TranslationProject/UpdatingTeamData to update team coordinator Check that Bugzilla l10n component points to an active mailing list, or the current coordinator But if he is not responding, then?? - We tried much to contact him, but he doesn't answers!!! I think he has forgot about GNOME!!! We (Pakhtosoft) have five members in our company (ready to translate) and we want to start the translation soon. ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n
Re: Pashto - coordinator should be changed!!!
CC-ing the present coordinator, since I'm not sure whether he's is subscribed to the list or not. I guess this can be done with the approval of the existing coordinator. However, since he seems to be busy with something else at the moment (as per your report), we can wait for a response from him within the next 10 days (that is, by 14th September 2007) and then start the process of changing coordinator. Ismail, if you are reading this mail, please try to respond to it within the next 10 days. Hi Peter, As I commented on http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=463079#c3 most of your translations are based on old POT files. You should update them with newer POT from Damned Lies before someone commits them. And as Johannes said, we would very much appreciate a message of Marcel on this list about the current state of Slovak translation team. Re: please commit few more SK translations.
Hi, Claude I downloaded the files from GNOME 2.19 sources. Do You mean that they are simply based on old english files? Is it possible to simply merge them into the new files and then just finalize them? I use Poedit -is there any better software for this case? Sorry for asking these "simple things", but I didn't recieve any info about the translation process, so I just do it the way I explored myself.. Maybe there should be some more complex info for new translators somewhere near the "join the GNOME" site.. Peter Claude Paroz wrote / napísal(a): > Le mardi 04 septembre 2007 à 14:32 +0200, Mgr.
